Great to see industry recognition for two of our latest projects handed over to clients as East Calder Primary, with West Lothian Council and Easthouses Primary with Midlothian Council are shortlisted in the 2025 Scottish Property Awards, both in Public Development of the Year and Architectural Excellence. We're proud to be assisting our clients in the delivery of high quality, inspiring learning estate which is making a real difference to the learner journey of its young people. Congratulations to all those involved in these fantastic projects. Our fingers are crossed for February's event! https://lnkd.in/gVMhh6p Morrison Construction jmarchitects NORR NORR Group

Our team had a fantastic Volunteering Day in Penicuik, Midlothian, at the Food Fact Friends Community Hub. Through individual team member donations, as well as a Hub South East contribution, we were able to take along lots of food and toy donations to help their Xmas appeal and we were put to work on the day and given a taste of the variety of services offered by this amazing charity. From serving in the cafe, stocking the pantry, sorting toys and building shelves, to being personal shoppers and visiting local supermarkets to collect donations, the Hub team enjoyed our day and most importantly we got to hear first hand about the worthwhile work being done across Midlothian by Food Fact Friends - providing a safe space and access to food and specialist support services. The number of regular volunteers who keep places like this going is amazing and we were happy to play our small part on the day. https://lnkd.in/ez4Ku49J

Our CEO Paul McGirk attended today's official opening and heard how the new Wallyford Learning Campus is being well received by pupils, staff and the local community – a real testament to the hard work of all parties involved. The Campus is not only a fantastic educational setting but is a real collaborative asset for East Lothian, allowing the development of community, further education and business partnerships that will leave a lasting legacy. This was the first LEIP project to start on site in Scotland and was the first secondary school to be delivered through this new Scottish Government programme. We’re proud to have been entrusted with its successful delivery, assisting our clients in achieving aspirational policy objectives around net zero, place and inclusive economic growth and further cementing our excellent partnership with East Lothian Council. Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills Jenny Gilruth officially opened Wallyford Learning Campus today. Ms Gilruth joined East Lothian Council elected members, council officials, staff and learners from Rosehill High School, members of the project team and community representatives at an event to celebrate the multimillion-pound facility. The strategic vision for Wallyford Learning Campus was a place for the community to meet and learn together. It brings together the newly-established Rosehill High School, a library, community centre and sports pitches. Partnerships with Edinburgh College and SRUC in the form of Construction Skills and Rural Skills academies offer further education, employability and training opportunities for both adults and young people. The development received funding from Scottish Government’s Learning Estate Investment Programme (LEIP) phase 1.
