AI and copyright in the UK Mrs. Justice Joanna Smith has handed down another pre-trial judgment in Getty Images (US) Inc & Ors v Stability AI, an important IP and AI dispute in the English High Court https://lnkd.in/gfbN9JgF This time, Stability AI has managed to convince the court to deny a representative action application by one of the claimants in the case (a request for other photographers to be represented by the claimant). The trial of this dispute will start this summer. Getty Images (US) Inc and other claimants are represented by Fieldfisher, while Stability AI is represented by Bird & Bird. Our editorial colleagues have published Managing IP’s 22nd annual list of the 50 most influential people in IP.
