Well, the Jaguar rebrand has been done to death and everyone has an opinion on Coke’s gen A.I. Christmas ad… but here’s the one you’ve really all been waiting for – it’s the JICMAIL Top 10 mail ads from 2024 year-to-date. We’ve taken a look at Q1-Q3 data and identified those mailers that have driven disproportionately high share of attention vs share of doormat (i.e. share of volumes on the JICMAIL panel), and/or have been particularly effective. We’ve learned a lot about creativity this year: from the role of recognisable, emotionally engaging creative that appeals to the physical senses (go tactile media) from the DMA (Data & Marketing Association) UK’s Value of Creativity report; to the considerable benefits of maintaining creative consistency from System1’s Compound Creativity report. Much of the best practice identified is in evidence in the mail channel.
