John Boghossian, our CEO, recently attended #BIOEurope 2024 in Stockholm, a flagship life sciences partnering conference that brings together global innovators and investors to connect and advance the industry. At this year's event, John had the opportunity to pitch Kadence Bio as part of the Start-up Spotlight Competition, and we are proud to announce that Kadence Bio won! Winning this competition provides the opportunity to partner with Bayer through their Bayer Co.Lab program, gaining access to world-class expertise and their ecosystem facilities. This recognition is a testament to our vision and progress in developing the first FDA-approved treatment for premature ejaculation, aiming to address a major unmet need in men's health. We’re looking forward to kicking off the Co.Lab program later this month as well as continuing conversations with potential partners as we push ahead with our mission to improve sexual and mental wellbeing. #BioEurope2024 #KadenceBio #MensHealth #Biotech #StartupSpotlight #Winner

Leonie Woodfinden and Ryan Protzko recently attended #BioFuture in New York, a gathering of innovators and leaders dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare. This conference brought together visionaries from biopharma, tech, and investment sectors, creating a vibrant space to explore next steps in healthcare innovation. Leonie and Ryan also had the chance to reconnect with mentors and friends, including Arda Ural, MSc, MBA, PhD (pictured, middle), Silvia Garcia Codony and Zach Lomis. Leonie reported about the ‘Women’s Health: It’s About Time! It’s About the Healthcare for Women’ panel (pictured): “[The panel] reinforced the challenge facing under-researched areas of gender-based medicine (including sexual health) in identifying funding sources. Current options include looking towards specialist funds, however these often cannot meet later-stage capital needs. We need to get gender-based conditions— such as premature ejaculation, with its associated significant degree of unmet need and blockbuster market potential—back on the agenda for mainstream life science funds and pharma CVC.”

📢 Beyond the Bedroom: Episode 1 Introducing our new mini-series, Beyond the Bedroom, focused on sexual wellbeing. Through this initiative, we aim to share valuable insights on often-overlooked and stigmatized topics surrounding intimate sexual health, which often has broader implications on mental health. At Kadence Bio, we believe in fostering open conversations and creating a supportive space where people feel empowered to discuss these sensitive issues. Join us as we work to reduce stigma and promote awareness. Each month, we'll share thoughtful articles and insights from various media, platforms, and initiatives, all designed to inspire understanding and drive positive change, each one spotlighting a unique aspect of sexual wellbeing. This November, we're kicking off with an important conversation in honor of Movember – a movement dedicated to raising awareness around men's health, including mental health, prostate cancer, and sexual wellbeing. Men's sexual and mental health is highly relevant to us at Kadence Bio where we are developing the first FDA-approved treatment for premature ejaculation, affecting up to 20% of men, with 65% of those experiencing secondary effects such as anxiety and depression. Our mission extends beyond sexual health to address broader unmet needs in mental and relationship health. Our discovery program is centered around the development of acute treatments for mood disorders and thus our vision is to cultivate holistic wellbeing. Movember highlights the pressing issues surrounding men's mental health, with statistics showing that 1 in 8 men experience mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. Men are also three times more likely to die by suicide compared to women. These alarming figures are a call to action. Kadence Bio continues to support the Movember movement by raising awareness through fundraising initiatives each year. This year we will be taking part in the Battersea Chase the Moon run to raise money for this cause, check out our Movember page to donate: https://lnkd.in/euA3Ghu4 The funds raised during Movember go towards critical initiatives, including mental health support services, suicide prevention programs, and innovative research to improve treatment for prostate and testicular cancer—two of the most common cancers affecting men. Movember also supports projects focused on encouraging men to stay active and improve their overall physical health. By donating to Movember, you're not only helping to raise awareness, but also contributing directly to programs that offer life-saving mental health resources, early detection efforts, and cancer research that aims to improve outcomes and extend lives. #Movember #SexualWellness #KadenceBio #MensHealth #BreakingStigma #WellnessSeries
