Epic Graduation at HMP Fosse Way awards 40 men and 24 Key Mentors! 👏 Today is an incredibly exciting day as we prepare to celebrate our third Graduation at HMP Fosse Way in Leicester where we will award a record 40 young men and 24 Key Mentors. Over the last 18 months, we have put 100 men through our programme and trained over 50 Key Mentors. We are hugely grateful for the opportunity to partner with Serco to change lives at HMP Fosse Way, an organisation our founder and CEO Eva Hamilton MBE has been involved with for nearly 20 years, since first working with Serco Director, Wyn Jones, when she ran her first Warrior programme in 2006 rehabilitating incarcerated solders. Eva Hamilton says: “Today is a particularly exciting day as the families are coming to join the celebration. A huge thank you to Serco for their brilliant support, and I thank all the young men and congratulate them for coming so far on their journeys.” #Key4Life #Serco #HMPFosseWay #prison #Rehabilitation #change #changelives #graduation #keymentors #celebration #BrightFutures
About us
Our mission is to reduce youth reoffending through the delivery of an innovative rehabilitation programme to those in prison and those at risk of going to prison. We work in London, Bristol and the South West. The cost of putting one participant through the Key4Life programme is £5,000 versus the average annual cost of a prison place in England and Wales of £37,000. 14% of those who have been through the Key4Life programme have re-offended, compared to the national proven re-offending rate of 64% one-year post-release. Key4Life’s 7-step model is tackling the root causes and not just the symptoms of re-offending. Our independent research study has highlighted the notable impact of Key4Life in developing emotional resilience and employability skills.

Via our 7-Step rehabilitation programme, Key4Life is committed to helping save lives and break the cycle of crime by guiding ex-offenders into employment. Working with AI for an inclusive job market - Key4Life attends Movement to Work launch ✨ A proud partner of Movement to Work, Key4Life was delighted to attend the launch of their new report at 110 Bishopsgate in London this week, which shares helpful research about how Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) is changing the job market, and its effect on job-seeking young people not in education, employment or training (NEET). As employers determine how to deploy GAI, it is vital we ensure no young person is left behind. As of August 2024, the UK has at least 872,000 young people who are currently NEET; we must ensure they have the skills and support they need to succeed in a job market that will be impacted by GAI. Josh Cobb, Corporate Relations Manager for Key4Life (featured in bottom right pic below), who attended the event, said: "While GAI can be a helpful tool for NEET young people to use, many of their challenges in accessing employment are due to the structure of hiring processes, and cannot be solved only through the use of AI technology. Employers have the opportunity to be leaders in inclusive hiring and ensure that their processes allow valuable potential talent to come in." Employers must create hiring processes that alleviate many of the challenges that NEET young people face, and simultaneously improve the relationship with candidates, widen the talent pool, and ensure that they select the best candidates for the role. Thank you again to Movement to Work for your continued support and thank you to their other partners for supporting this important initiative, including: Tesco, Barclays, Centrica, Starbucks, NHS, Marks and Spencer, BT Group, Accenture, Marriott International and cityandguildsprog AETI

High Sheriff commemorates Employability Day – Clarks Village ✨ We were honoured to have Rob Beckley QPM, High Sheriff of Somerset - who formerly served as an Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police – join us for our Employability day in Clarks Village. As part of the day, our young men got suited and booted in suits Suit Direct, a workshop led by Sarah Gaskin, Retail Manager for Clarks Village/Landsec, supported them to build employability skills (including CV writing and interview training), and short talks were given by motivational coach Brad Burton plus Ben Anderson, Senior Sustainability Manager at Landsec. High Sheriff Rob Beckley QPM said: “From my 38 years in the police I’ve learnt that you must never write somebody off. The vast majority of offenders are not bad people, they’ve just had challenges and problems which they need support to sort out. Key4Life totally takes that on and gives these men the step up they need. Today’s event is helping these men back into employment. I challenge all companies in Somerset to take their social responsibilities really seriously by including ex-offenders and really engaging with these young men so they can feel part of society, and contribute to it. Ultimately we all benefit.” 📢 Our Jack Winter Food Cell also served up delicious burgers to all guests for lunch! Huge thanks to Ben Anderson, Zoe Pritchard and Sarah Gaskin from Landsec/Clarks Village, and to Brad Burton, High Sheriff Rob Beckley, the Key4Life team including Liam and James for manning the Food Cell, and the many other people who supported this pivotal day in our young men’s journeys into employment. 👔 Landsec #employability #suits #workshop #change #belief #strength #look #smart #training #proud #whatif #younited
