LEVC heads to Azerbaijan! We're delighted to extend our partnership with Baku Taxi by providing an additional 153 new zero-emission capable TX models! The fleet is currently being used to support sustainable transport solutions at COP29 Azerbaijan. ♻️✅ With this latest delivery, Azerbaijan’s fleet of ‘black cabs’ has grown to over 1,500 since our partnership began in 2011. We're celebrating #NationalEngineeringDay! Let's join Paulina Krukurka, Team Leader in Body Structures, as she explains how our teams all work together on the production line to expertly build the body of the LEVC TX. Body Structures is the starting point for every TX in its build journey and is one of the most important and high-tech areas of the manufacturing facility at Ansty. Required to have a positive air pressure to remove any dust from entering into the bonding process, the body structure’s main role is to apply a bonding adhesive to over 400 pieces of structural anodised aluminium which is then hot and cold cured. The end result is a fully formed body structure that provides twice the tensile strength of a welded equivalent and the capability to absorb twice the crash energy of mild steel!
