At Radar, it is all about family and loyalty. Not only do we have some incredibly loyal clients which have been with us for nearly all our 22 years, who clearly love what we do for them, but we also have many of the team who are loyal to us too! Today, we celebrate Phil Cole's 10 year work anniversary with Radar. Phil is a truly valued member of our database team, who supports all of our clients with their data, and we look forward to Phil continuing to hold the 'Database Police' position for at least the next 10 years! Thank you for all your hard work Phil and we look forward to continuing the celebrations next month at our annual Family weekend away in Monmouth. So proud of Michelle Laverick taking on the role of Chair of the AWTE (Association of Women Travel Executives) this year and hearing the feedback following on from the wonderful lunch hosted by the Benevolent yesterday in London, attended by Deb Merrifield too. We are delighted to continue to support the amazing work that this association continues to do to support women in travel.
A really wonderful afternoon at the AWTE (Association of Women Travel Executives) Benevolent Summer Lunch yesterday at the Ivy in Soho. A wonderful turn out and a really humbling and emotional afternoon in the company of some incredibly strong women who have helped shape and drive the association over the last 70 years. Incredible stories shared and new friends made over a delicious 3 course lunch. Huge thanks to Claire Osborne and Barbro McAusland for organising such a wonderful lunch. A truly memorable afternoon was had by all. #awte #networking Deb Merrifield Jessica Simpson Abbey Renshaw Gillian Wickers Daniel Pearce Tricia Handley- Hughes Laura KELLY Christina Kokkala Hannah Louise Marshall Kelly Davies Iulia Pop Claire French Sue Kavanagh Lynden Bugler

It was a pleasure to have been able to attend the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers (ATAS) Summit at the News UK offices in London this week. A day with a brilliant line up of speakers including insightful presentations from Andy Headington at Adido and Chris Photi at White Hart Associates. There were also excellent panel discussions around recruitment, travel trends, disabilities and an insightful agent panel to finish the day. It was great to meet so many new members of ATAS too. Marketing Radar Ltd are delighted to be the chosen data partners for the ATAS data project proving valuable insights for this growing sector. Congratulations to the team for organising such a brilliant day but a special shout out to Claire Brighton, without whom this summit wouldn’t have happened and to Lucy Huxley for amazing panel moderating - as always. 👏👏👏

We are so proud of Michelle’s swimming achievements and to win a silver medal in one of the most difficult events, 200m butterfly, in a national swimming championships is a brilliant achievement! Well done 👏
Last weekend, I participated in the Masters British Championship in Swansea, one of the biggest events in the masters swimming calendar. Despite being hit hard by a bug just a week before the event, I decided to go ahead with it. It was a struggle, but I pushed through and managed to clinch a silver medal in the 200m butterfly and a bronze in the 100m butterfly, with a 4th position in the 50m butterfly. I had trained hard for this event, putting in long hours of early morning and hard sessions. Although I was feeling really good a week before the event, the bug left me with very little energy, making every swim a painful experience. I learned a valuable lesson that you can't always prepare for every eventuality. Despite the setback, I am proud of my performance, and my times were just outside of my personal bests. It's important to remember that sometimes things don't go according to plan, and it's essential to adapt and push through. I hope my experience inspires others to keep pushing through the tough times. I’d have to say a massive thanks to Deb Merrifield and the team at Marketing Radar Ltd for their unwavering support for my swimming antics. #perseverance #toughtimes

Delighted to have represented Marketing Radar Ltd at the ATAS leaders dinner last night. It was an excellent opportunity to hear about the latest ATAS travel trends from Claire Brighton and ATAS Chair Zina Bencheikh. I was surprised to learn that the Greek Island of Milos was the highest Google searched Greek Island in 2023, especially since I enjoyed a swimming holiday there last year. Also, Eleni Skarveli’s insight about skiing in Greece was fascinating. The evening was a wonderful chance to catch up with familiar faces and meet some of the new members of ATAS. Thank you, Claire Brighton, for organising such a great event 🙌, and who knew you’d put me next to a fellow masters swimmer and new member Ralph Foulds at dinner.
