🌟🌿 METAL TECHNOLOGY RISES TO PLATINUM LEVEL AT NIEBS 2024 RESULTS CEREMONY 🌿🌟 Northern Ireland’s most environmentally conscious organisations have once again been revealed at an event to announce the results of Business in the Community’s 26th Annual Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Survey (NIEBS). The survey allows organisations to be externally audited by EY and scored on their environmental efforts and performance. 132 organisations entered this year and we’re thrilled and very proud to announce that Metal Technology Ltd has achieved Platinum Level in our second year of taking part. Our Sustainability Champion and Technical Support Manager, William McIlvenna, was there to accept the award. The event took place in the Titanic Suite at Titanic Belfast, and it was great to see so many local businesses acting responsibly. 🎉 Metal Technology Ltd's Team Building Day 🎉 We escaped the office on Monday with a trip to Prison Island in Belfast! Our staff were split into small teams and had to work together to navigate through 31 different rooms which tested their physical, mental and teamwork skills - there was great rivalry between the teams with first position changing numerous times throughout the afternoon! The winning team was eventually declared and this year's honours went to Richard Rutherford, Dennis Corry & David McAleese. Held this year at the iconic Ewart building, the event was led by long-standing compère and RSUA Honorary Member Mark Simpson. 🌟 IRELAND'S FORMIDABLE BADMINTON DUO PICK UP THEIR 4TH EUROPEAN SILVER MEDAL 🌟 Our former Quality Manager Pam Peard and her badminton doubles partner, Sian Williams, recently took home the Silver medal in the Over 60 Women's Doubles at the 2024 European Senior Championships, held in Hasselt, Belgium. Pam & Sian's category had 64 players from 13 different countries and the formidable duo progressed to the final with some ease, beating teams from Switzerland, Germany, France, Scotland/England, with all their wins done and dusted in 2 games! They just lost out in the final to a team from England / Netherlands, but still managed to take them to 3 games, and were the only pair to do so throughout the championships. Incredible!! Comprising a total of 50 events, with players from 30 different countries ranging in age from 35 to over 80, this was the largest badminton tournament to have ever taken place. A huge congratulations from all of us at Metal Technology!
