This week, Torquay residents and businesses have had the chance to shape the exciting proposals for Union Square, as part of our ongoing Regeneration Partnership with Torbay Council and Willmott Dixon. The proposed multi-million-pound redevelopment aims to transform Union Square into a vibrant hub, featuring: 🏡 High-quality homes 🛍️ Modern retail spaces 🍵 Leisure facilities 🤾 Public areas 🏥 A new NHS centre The first open day kicks off tomorrow, held in Union Square from 11am to 3pm. 🗓️ One year on - Plans for flagship town centre, transformational scheme released along with updates from the Regeneration Partnership with Torbay Council and Willmott Dixon. Stuart Harris and Chris Wheeler spoke to local press in Torquay last Friday sharing plans for Union Square which will be taken forward for full planning consent, in the first half of 2025. Other key updates included: 6️⃣ Up to six sites in Torquay and Paignton being brought forward for development over the next few years. 🏠 Up to 700 homes including new homes for sale and rent, extra care and affordable homes. 🏥 New healthcare facilities including diagnostics centres and GP surgeries. 👷♀️ New employment opportunities in construction, healthcare, retail, leisure and hospitality, and opportunities for skills development. 🏨 A new high-end boutique hotel. 🍻 New independent cafes and restaurants. 🚵♀️ New public squares and spaces.
