It was our absolutely pleasure to host our first catering conference for our follow AHOEC centres across the East Midlands today. We shared information and best practices with other catering teams, hosted key note speakers, and held the "Mount Cook Bake Scoff", where each attending centre brought in their finest traybake to compete. It was also a great chance for our new Catering Manager, Sam, (big welcome to Sam!) to meet his peers in the area! Catering is such an important part of a residential. From corporate function menus, to special menus for our health based charities, the catering team at outdoor activity centres are often unsung heroes who work hard behind the scenes. Providing high quality outdoor learning is more than just activities - It's making sure every person has quality nutrition and the energy needed to tackle the great outdoors! #outdooreducation #residential #outdoorlearning

A huge thank you to the sales team at Rab who joined us for a CSR volunteering day this week. They sanded and varnished our glamping pods to help protect them against the elements and keep them in good condition as long as possible. We said thank you with breakfast, lunch, and a taster session of an outdoor activity - our new Via Ferrata! Thank you so much to RAB for spending your time helping us. We have lots of charities and youth groups staying with us this summer who will be grateful for the cosy waterproof pods. 🧗♀️🎯 If you have a team that is looking for a fun day of making a difference in the outdoors, ask about a CSR day at Mount Cook! 🎯🧗♀️

Team Mount Cook are SO READY for the UK Challenge this week! We hosted a stage last year, so were unfortunately were unable to take part - we are back with a vengeance in 2024! We are pleased to be entering our second all female team (our first female team is pictured below!) Our team is made up of activity instructors Charlotte, Ruth, and Suzie, Guest Service Coordinators Alex and Sarah, and Sales & Marketing Manager Madeline. This is an amazing opportunity to team build in our favourite venue - the great outdoors. Bonds formed on this event truly last a lifetime, with teams cycling, running, paddling, and puzzling their way through three days of stages. #pushingboundaries #openingminds
