A huge thank you to the sales team at Rab who joined us for a CSR volunteering day this week. They sanded and varnished our glamping pods to help protect them against the elements and keep them in good condition as long as possible. We said thank you with breakfast, lunch, and a taster session of an outdoor activity - our new Via Ferrata! Thank you so much to RAB for spending your time helping us. We have lots of charities and youth groups staying with us this summer who will be grateful for the cosy waterproof pods. 🧗♀️🎯 If you have a team that is looking for a fun day of making a difference in the outdoors, ask about a CSR day at Mount Cook! 🎯🧗♀️

Philanthropy should be PHUN! It's a heart thing, not a brain thing. This morning, my wife and I are spending a few hours cleaning, planting, shoveling and whatever other 'ing' is needed at our local park as part of NY State "I Love My Park Day". We do it every year. Not unrelated, we love the outdoors and spend a lot of time in the parks hiking, biking, enjoying. If we get done in time, we'll head over to the beach for our weekly hour of picking up garbage as part of a wonderful nonprofit some dudes started many years ago. Not unrelated, the beach is our happy place, and taking a long walk there while doing good feels amazing. Then Sunday, we'll participate in a bowl-a-thon to raise money for the animal shelter where I volunteer. Not unrelated, we are big dog lovers (and lovers of big dogs) and an afternoon of bowling, eating, laughing, socializing sounds perfect. This happens to be about volunteering. But it could've been about donating. And partnering. And supporting. All of which should: ⚪️Make you smile & feel good ⚪️Hit you deep down ⚪️Be a thing you look forward to ⚪️Not feel like work ⚪️Not be unpleasant or dreaded So when fundraising and development staff are out there trying to connect with prospects, find ways to paint a vivid picture of a fun, fulfilling journey. #fundraising #philanthropy

To all of you out there working hard every day at your vocations and then volunteering for charities, booster orgs, sport groups, or coaching a sports team or activity- 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻! Thank you! Often, "busy" is celebrated far too much. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆. Many times, all people have capacity to do outside of managing every day life is to write a check (and we all thank you for that as well!). I do make 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 as we are all out here prioritizing our time in different ways. When people step into volunteer roles that you don’t want to do or don’t have the capacity to do, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. #Leadership #Volunteer #Boosters #Board #Busy #ThankYou

Walk in the Park: Dog Distraction Class It’s a different kind of walk in the park at See Differently’s weekly dog distraction classes for our pups in training. At these sessions, volunteers guide the pups through various exercises designed to help them stay focused (despite lots of tempting distractions like other dogs, toys, and people). Sofie and Bree from the puppy team lead the class with lots of tips and tricks to keep the students on the right track! Teaching our dogs these skills early on is essential for them to become well-trained and reliable companions. We're looking for more volunteers to help raise and train our next generation of See Differently guide or assistance dogs. We have various volunteering opportunities to suit everyone. "Many homeschoolers have a great amount of flexibility at home, which is one of the beauties of homeschooling, but that flexibility is not always found on a job. Learning this can be helpful!” – Cindy LaJoy Quote taken from the SPED Homeschool article, Eight Benefits of Volunteering for Your Homeschool #quoteoftheday #homeschoolfreedom #spedhomeschool

Why I volunteer when I can… This was me yesterday, about to begin volunteering for the day with Seaful charity and the amazing events they host; connecting people with waterways and educating young people about ocean protection. I’ve been supporting Seaful and a number of other charities, since becoming self-employed and here’s my reasons why… 1) To stay connected with and support causes which I believe in, and which align with my own personal values. 2) To escape the ‘busy-loneliness’ of being self-employed (if you know, you know) and connect with cool people who share my values too. 3) To maintain a sense of balance, and not become swamped with the need for revenue-based activity all the time. 4) Because volunteering is cool 😎 and yes, it’s OK to feel good about doing it too. Question… Do you #volunteer and if so, what do you enjoy most about it? Why not volunteer your comments below (see what I did there!)… #volunteer #charity #leadership #connection #people #values #beliefs #bethechange #businessowner #selfemployed #stayconnected #bluespace #oceanprotection #coaching

We made the Charity shortlist for the Performance Marketing World awards 🎉 We worked with Woodgreen Pets Charity on their 'Be a miracle maker' Christmas giving campaign. Through a combination of creative strategy, innovative AI tools and first party data, we were able to surpass both revenue and ROI targets, more than doubling year on year revenue for the same media spend. We're looking forward to hearing the results in November. Fingers crossed for our team and brilliant client partners. https://lnkd.in/esVgQXzS #CharityDigital #Fundraising #ChristmasGiving #CreativeStrategy #DigitalMarketing [Image description: In a blob is an adorable one-eyed tan coloured dog.
