🌟 Why We Made a Film About AI and Robotics 🌟 The global AI market is booming, valued at $142.3 billion in 2023. This surge is driven by widespread adoption across industries, technological advancements, and rising investments. And there’s no sign of it slowing down. However, our research revealed a concerning gap: only 15% of digital leaders feel ‘very’ or ‘extremely well prepared’ for the demands of generative AI, while 42% feel unprepared. 🤔 So, what are the challenges, and how can leaders avoid falling behind or making poor decisions in an attempt to catch up with early adopters? 🚀 This summer we took our latest Tech Flix documentary to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in London, who hosted over 100 of their customers for a discussion on the frontiers of autonomy. The importance of AI, robotics, and the next industrial revolution is growing, and we were thrilled to explore these topics with our guests. 🎬 We screened our documentary, examining how organisations are preparing for upcoming technological disruptions. The film highlights the lack of cohesive AI policies and regulations, which could hinder innovation and risk talent. Leaders are challenged with implementing AI ethically while supporting their workforce through this technological shift. The documentary suggests that AI can free people from dangerous or monotonous tasks, creating new opportunities. 🤝 Partners at Slalom and Amazon Web Services (AWS) discussed the film and shared insights on helping companies move beyond the minimum viable product to full production with AI solutions. 💡 Following the screening there was a panel, led by Jon Hammant, included experts like Niall Robinson from the Met Office and Suki Fuller from the Council of Competitive Intelligence Fellows. They discussed the infrastructure needed to power AI systems, the environmental impact, and ways to make these platforms sustainable.
