Back in the balmy days of summer, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming CGTN Europe and their RAZOR Science Show to our #carbondioxideremoval facility in the lush countryside of South Wales, UK. We spent a smashing few days with Reya El-Salahi exploring our technology, discussing the CDR market and the massive, long term impact that our mission will deliver. We've built something innovative to serve a new market (and a market that's still finding its feet) and this was the first time we'd properly shown it off. From a tiny #carbondioxideremoval prototype to a much bigger, operational pilot; the last two years have been a whirlwind! Many, many thanks go to the team at CGTN Europe; Reya, Zan Barberton and Nick Rowley who really asked the right questions allowing us to fully show off the pragmatic and scalable technologies we've built here at Nellie Technologies to #fixtheclimate.

Our Compliance Manager, Andrew Wilkerson, attended the Fourth Annual Carbon Dioxide Removal Law & Policy Conference on The Emerging Regulatory Terrain for CDR this week, hosted by the Institute for Responsible Carbon Removal at the American University. We are excited to share our latest Green Paper, exploring the critical role of compliance marketplaces, policy advancements like 45Q, and the importance of community engagement in scaling #carbonremovalsolutions Discover how these elements come together to drive gigatonne-scale carbon removal and meet global #climategoals.

A real treat to exhibit at the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Awardee Excellence Community Conference 2024 in Manchester today. Great to meet some of my Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub fellow members and obviously thrilled with the reception to the #carbondioxideremoval technologies we’ve built at Nellie Technologies. Visiting Barcelona is always fun - making it more fun this time was the opportunity to spend a day with decision makers in the Sustainable Cities ecosystem talking about how and why #carbondioxideremoval technologies like Nellie Technologies' are so critical in delivering #beyondnetzero communities by 2030. It was exciting to map out how we can deliver both environmental and societal benefits at scale with our local and regional authorities and even more exciting to see the alignment of our systems with forward-thinking policy. Many thanks to our hosts at Leitat Technological Center with their welcoming team (Julia Bosse, Vincent Jamier, Bastien Hualpa de Schuyter). A busy summer of site visits at Nellie Technologies' pilot #carbondioxideremoval installation here in South Wales was rounded off by a few days filming with Zan Barberton and the team at CGTN and Boundary Pictures. You'll be able to see Stephen Milburn , Ally Sheller and Andrew Wilkerson really kick the tyres of our biogenic DAC system (and explaining all of the science behind it!) in the Razor TV show on CGTN and CGTN Europe this autumn. We'd like to thank the crew for being so patient with us as we explained all of the acronyms that form part of our day to day lives (but aren't necessarily widely known!)

And it was lovely to have you come and visit us, Anthony Green! #CarbonDioxideRemoval alone won't fix everything; we're only part of a blended, sustainable approach (but a pretty effective one!).

This week, I met Stephen Milburn and some of the team at Nellie Technologies a company innovating to remove CO2 from the atmosphere by creating biochar from algae. Their novel approach and the ambition of Nellie and other early-stage carbon removal companies gives me real optimism that we can turn the tide and mitigate the worst impacts of climate change. It's clear that reducing emissions alone won't be sufficient— huge carbon removal capacity will also be required. 🌎💚 #ClimateAction #carbonremoval #InnovateForChange
