This accreditation recognises its commitment to sustaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency and professionalism. To achieve this milestone, Samson successfully completed a series of audits conducted by independent third-party assessors. Achieving Stage 2 accreditation is a fantastic achievement and validates the great work the team does to provide its clients with exceptional service. Well done to the whole Samson team! 👏

We were delighted to welcome Emma Foody, MP for Cramlington and Killingworth, to Newcastle Airport. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the Airport's growth and the significant role we play in delivering vital connectivity for the North East region. During the visit, we shared updates on the strong progress we are making towards becoming Net Zero by 2035. We also discussed the major investments we are making at the Airport this winter, including a £17 million project to resurface our runway.

Another step in the right direction! 💚 We're delighted to have received more global recognition for the strong progress we’ve made towards becoming Net Zero by 2035. We are one of only seven airports in the UK who have achieved Level 4 or above in the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) scheme. The scheme independently assesses airports on the way they manage and reduce their carbon emissions. Achieving Level 4 status is an outstanding achievement and recognises the fantastic work our teams are doing to drive us towards our sustainability goals.

We couldn't be prouder ❤️ Dedicated officers from the Airport's Rescue and Firefighting Service have been recognised for their outstanding service. Officers were awarded Long Service and Good Conduct medals to celebrate their 20, 30 and 40 years of service. Some also received the King’s Coronation and late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee medals at the special awards ceremony. These awards are a true reflection of the team’s hard work, dedication and the sacrifices they make every day to keep our Airport safe. Thank you for everything you do!
