About us

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) looks after more than one million people who live, work, visit or travel through the county every day and our aim is to create safer communities. A team of more than 1,000 people support this work from a variety of locations, including our fire stations, headquarters, training and development centre and our driver training school and workshop. We are run by the Nottinghamshire and City of Nottingham Fire Authority and the local councillors (our Members) who are elected to its various committees. Much of our work is carried out in partnership with other organisations who are working towards similar aims and we have important close links with local authorities, other emergency services and the voluntary and charity sector that help us to make great progress locally. You can find out more about how we achieve all of this through our day-to-day work on our website www.notts-fire.gov.uk, or on our social media channels: Facebook www.facebook.com/NottsFRS Twitter www.twitter.com/nottsfire Instagram www.instagram.com/nottsfire/
