We are pleased to announce that OEG Renewables has signed a contract with Strategic Marine for the order of a new build crew transfer vessel (CTV). The vessel will support OEG Renewables’ offshore operations in the Asia Pacific region. The vessel, due to be named Wey Feng, is a BMT designed 27m aluminium catamaran and will be the fourth StratCat 27 vessel built by Strategic Marine to join the OEG Renewables fleet. The Wey Feng is due for delivery to Taiwan in February 2025, where it will support our ongoing projects in the region. At OEG Renewables, our topside service division boasts a strong track record of supporting various projects and clients in the offshore energy sector. We are excited to highlight a recent project completed by our offshore communication team which involved the installation of a MetOcean weather monitoring system for a floating offshore wind farm in Portugal. This advanced system utilises MetOcean sensors, including Radac wave radar units and anemometers, to deliver real-time data on sea state, wind speed, direction, and temperature.
