Successful LEO flight tests over the Arctic: complete! 🛫 Our partners at Panasonic Avionics Corporation have recently undertaken connectivity tests over the Arctic via our Eutelsat OneWeb LEO satellite constellation. GEO satellites are unable to provide coverage over the polar regions, so high-performance LEO connectivity over the Arctic marks a significant milestone for the aviation industry. Using combined GEO-LEO services empowers a seamless connected experience wherever a passenger is flying – over the oceans, on polar routes, or in congested airspace. This week, we welcomed a delegation from Singapore to our Eutelsat Group Headquarters in Paris to discuss our Eutelsat OneWeb LEO Government offering 🛰️ Representatives from the Defence, Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) – including Chief Executive Mr Ng Chad-Son – and ST Engineering visited the office to receive a live demonstration of our high-speed, low-latency LEO connectivity, as well as an open discussion around a LEO tactical network deployment concept. By the early 2030s, #IRIS2 will bridge connectivity gaps, fortify crisis response and uphold Europe’s #DigitalSovereignty. With robust collaboration across public and private sectors, IRIS² sets a new standard in #SpaceTechnology for the benefit of all #EU Member States.   The consortium looks forward to seeing this announcement come to fruition with the expected contract signature finalised over the next few months. Eutelsat Group reports revenues for the first quarter of 2024-25 📝 📊 Operating verticals revenues of €297 million, up 5.5% year-on-year ⚡ Growth in connectivity on the back of LEO-enabled solutions ⬆️ Backlog stands at €3.9 billion, or 3.2 times FY 2023-24 revenues, with connectivity at 55% 🤝 All financial objectives confirmed Commenting on the results, Christophe Caudrelier, Chief Financial Officer at Eutelsat Group, said: “The First Quarter performance was in line with our expectations, enabling us to confirm our FY 2024-25 objectives. OneWeb Launch #20 is a success!
