The Passivhaus Trust is an independent, non-profit organisation that provides leadership in the UK for the adoption of the Passivhaus standard and methodology. Passivhaus is the leading international low energy, design standard. Over 37,000 buildings have been designed, built and tested to this standard worldwide. The Trust aims to promote the principles of Passivhaus as a highly effective way of reducing energy use and carbon emissions from buildings in the UK, as well as providing high standards of comfort and building health.

We love this quote by Jeff Colley, Editor of Passive House Plus: "Once you’ve reached Passive House, there is no next level. It truly hits the nail on the head. Passive House sets the benchmark for energy efficiency, comfort, and sustainability, leaving no room for compromise or the need for "next steps." Local authorities face a variety of strategic, operational, and commercial choices, often within the constraints of limited staff and financial resources. The diverse facets of the retrofit ecosystem bring unique challenges, each requiring different levels of understanding and access to resources.
