Thrilled to see Space House featured in the latest edition of Building Magazine! PCE partnered with BAM UK & Ireland, on behalf of Seaforth, to breathe new life into this landmark Grade II-listed building in Covent Garden. Leveraging our innovative HybriDfMA Bespoke system and advanced digital technologies, we designed and delivered the structural solution for the new cruciform units on Levels 15 and 16, while re-installing the refurbished roof T units on Levels 16 and 17. The Space House restoration project embodies PCE's commitment to delivering complex challenges with practical, efficient solutions. HMP Millsike: A Model for Modern Sustainable Construction 🏗️ Built with PCE’s Secure Prison HybriDfMA system, HMP Millsike exemplifies the benefits of a platform-DfMA approach, delivering on the Government Construction Playbook’s commitment to better, faster, and greener outcomes. Using 16,500+ precast components and digital twin technology, the project streamlined installation, reduced waste, and enhanced safety, achieving 200,000 RIDDOR-free hours. Great to see Alex Johnson at the recent Ministry of Justice supplier day! Alex plays a key role in supporting rehabilitation initiatives like Workshop 5 at HMP Fosse Way, which equips prisoners with valuable skills in offsite manufacturing 👷♂️ These programmes provide education, upskilling, and a clearer pathway to employment, helping prisoners build brighter futures upon release. Through engagement with ROTL (Release on Temporary Licence) and Workshop 5, we’re helping create meaningful opportunities for offenders and ex-offenders. Several prison leavers have already joined our workforce through these initiatives, whilst current serving prisoners are manufacturing components that are helping build construction projects across the UK's public and private sector. 👷♂️ International Men’s Day 2024: Celebrating Positive Role Models in Construction 🏗️ Today marks International Men’s Day 2024. This year, the theme is positive male role models. At PCE, we recognise the men who shape not just our industry, but the people around them, leading with integrity, mentoring the next generation, and showing resilience in the face of challenges. In construction, role models take many forms: ✅ A site manager who fosters teamwork and trust.  ✅ An apprentice challenging stereotypes and breaking new ground.  ✅ A colleague who listens, supports, and inspires others to be their best. This International Men’s Day, we celebrate these examples of leadership and remind everyone of the importance of support and collaboration - on and off the job. It is also a chance to shine an extra light on mental health challenges. Construction is an industry known to suffer in silence, with many reluctant to talk about their mental health. Being a role model isn’t just about working hard and doing a good job, it is about being kind to yourself, to others, and facing life’s challenges in the best way. Talking about your struggles, or being there to listen to someone share theirs, is key to this.
