Charities don’t stop just because it’s Christmas. And many of their services are more in demand than any other time of year. That’s why we’ve awarded six charities with an additional £2.2 million in funding raised by People's Postcode Lottery players. Trussell, Mind, Hospice UK, Young Lives vs Cancer, RSPCA and Scottish SPCA are already supported by players. And this December the extra support will help deliver a happier Christmas for those most in need, bringing the funding total for all six charities in 2024 to £7 million. Watch the moment the surprise news was delivered to the organisations by our ambassador Matt Johnson.

We were delighted to welcome Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester to our Edinburgh office yesterday to celebrate 15 years of support for the charity Missing People. The Duchess, who is Royal Patron of Missing People, met with the family of Allan Bryant, who has been missing since 2013. Allan Bryant snr, Allan’s dad, said: "The support from Missing People has been a beacon of hope for my family during the darkest times. Their dedication and the support from players of People's Postcode Lottery enables support that gives invaluable comfort. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who plays People’s Postcode Lottery." Our players have raised nearly £12 million for Missing People, allowing the charity to be there for the missing and those who love them, in Scotland and across the whole of the UK.

At People's Postcode Lottery we’re known for surprising winners on their doorsteps. Did you know that throughout the year we open our own door and welcome lots of our charity partners into our office in Edinburgh? It’s an important opportunity for our team to learn more about the positive impact money raised by our players is having. In 2024, we welcomed British Red Cross, Movember, The Scouts, Scottish SPCA, Reprieve and Humanity & Inclusion to name a few. Together we make a difference. And thanks to our incredible players, over £1.4 billion has now been raised for good causes. #greatjobsbetterworld

Sporting legend Frank Bruno MBE is making a powerful impact out of the ring. He’s championing mental health through The Frank Bruno Foundation, providing vital support and hope to those who need it. With a healthy-body, healthy-mind ethos, the foundation’s gym offers a safe space for people to share their own experiences, attend wellbeing workshops and take part in non-contact boxing sessions. Frank Bruno said: "Everyone that comes through here, they leave with a smile on their face. It's a big achievement just to come through the door for a lot of people." Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised £50,000 for the charity and its work to knock out the stigma around mental health.
