Phoenix Tooling & Development had the pleasure of attending the Golf Day hosted by Sheet Metal Industries. Martin Mulvey (MD) led a team of guests to make up the Phoenix Golf Team for the day. Among his team members were Danny Burton (MD) of RSD Pressings, Jason Callaghan (MD) of 3 Dimensional and Ryan Wade (Logistics Director) of Kayeco LTD. Daniel’s impressive win in the longest drive competition was a highlight of the team’s day showcasing not only his golfing prowess, but also his competitive spirit. The team cheered him on as he launched the ball down the fairway, securing a well deserved victory. Jas Rai of Sheet Metal Induatries was the mastermind behind the event ensuring everything ran smoothly, from the tee times to the post-game celebrations. His attention to detail and dedication to the Sheet Metal Industry was evident in every aspect of the day, and his efforts did not go un-noticed: The beautifully crafted metal trophies, a testament to the craftsmanship of the industry, were a fitting reward for the hard work & dedication put in by all the teams. They served as a reminder of the strong bonds that were formed that day, as well as a symbol of the shared passion for sheet metal, metal-forming & fabrication. Sheet Metal Industies are a dedicated media channel for the sheet metal, metal-forming & fabrication industries. Work-life-balance is often touted as the key to a fulfilling and happy life. It is the idea that we should strive to achieve a harmonious balance between our professional responsibilities & personal life. This concept is especially crucial in today’s fast-paced world, where we are constantly bombarded with work demands & personal responsibilities. Julie & Hayley are examples of successful women who understand the importance of work-life-balance. Both are Sales Office Managers for their respective companies within our group Phoenix 1872.; Our very own Julie-Phoenix Tooling & Hayley-Cooke Brothers. They both work hard ensuring their departments are running smoothly & profitably, however they also recognise the need to unwind & enjoy life outside of work. Last night Julie and Hayley were spotted at Lichfield cathedral enjoying a Tina Tirner Tribute concert. Despite their busy schedules & demanding jobs, they made time to relax and have fun. It is heartening to see them taking a break from work and enjoying a night out together. In today’s society where we are constantly connected & bombarded with work emails and notifications, achieving work-life-balance is increasingly difficult. However it’s not impossible; It requires self awareness, discipline and a commitment to prioritising one’s well being. Today, Phoenix welcomed a special guest to experience a day in the life of toolmaking. Ted, the son of long-time employee James Lander, had the opportunity to shadow his father and gain insight into the world of toolmaking. James has been a dedicated employee at Phoenix for over 30 years, showcasing his expertise, skill, and commitment to the toolmaking industry. As a senior member of the staff, James is highly respected and valued for his contribution to the company. Therefore, it was an honour for Phoenix to host his son for a work experience day. It is always exciting to see the next generation show interest in their parent's profession, and Ted's visit was a great opportunity to witness how his future might unfold. By observing his father at work, Ted gained a firsthand look at the intricacies of toolmaking and the dedication required to excel in this field. As Ted navigated through the workshop, he was able to witness the precision and attention to detail that goes into creating high-quality tools. In the background of the picture featuring James and Ted, there is a tool that James had previously crafted for one of Phoenix's clients. This tool serves as a testament to James's skills and craftsmanship, highlighting the level of expertise that he brings to his work. It was only fitting that James was pictured alongside his son, showcasing his talent and passing down his knowledge to the next generation. We are committed to nurturing the next generation of talent and inspiring young people to pursue careers in manufacturing and engineering.
