Piatrika is looking for Biometrician/Agricultural Statistician Location:- Hyderabad Employment type:- Full time Key Responsibilities: ·    Develop and implement statistical methodologies for analyzing crop breeding or agricultural data. ·    Collaborate with breeders, scientists, and stakeholders to design experiments and studies addressing specific research questions. ·    Implement appropriate statistical frameworks for data analysis and trait prediction in commercially significant crops. ·    Implementation of Genomic Selection (GS) techniques. ·    Utilize simulation methods for optimizing breeding schemes supported by quantitative genetics. ·    Interpret and communicate statistical findings to non-statistical audiences through comprehensive reports and presentations. Required Qualifications and Skills: ·    Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Biometrics, Agricultural Statistics, Statistics, or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. ·    Advanced proficiency in statistical software such as R, ASREML-R, and Python. ·    Experience in experimental design, multivariate analysis, and/or Bayesian statistics. ·    Proven experience in supporting breeders with trial data analysis using established methods, including mixed models and multi-location testing. ·    Experience in implementing genomic selection for plant breeding to support breeding modernization initiatives. ·    Deep understanding of breeding operational processes and strict breeder timelines. ·    Experience in applying experimental designs across multiple crops for various breeding purposes (nursery, yield trial, disease trial, etc.). ·    Experience in using R tools and libraries for running breeding simulations and optimization analysis is a plus.
