    It's hard to get results from using LinkedIn search filters. Why? Well, first of all, using the filters is a challenge in itself. Ara Shikhalislami lists all the issues related to that in this video. 👇 But when you consider that around 45% of profiles on LinkedIn have outdated information, it's no surprise that your shortlists contain tons of irrelevant candidates. 😩 So what's the solution?   • Believe it or not, this quote, coming from an unnamed recruiter, is real 🤯 To some, it will sound reasonable: A database of candidate profiles just two years old will still be relevant. Nothing will have changed since then. To others, it will sound preposterous: Two years is an absolute age in the lifecycle of a candidate. Everything will have changed since then. This highlights a discrepancy in recruiter thinking: You either know you have a big data problem or you don't. Profiles that haven't been updated in 20 months lack key data points. Typically, candidate location, current job title, and current company. Take just one candidate for an example. You could be reaching out to them for a particular role at a particular level in a particular location all relevant to the information you have in their 2-year old profile. However, since then they've relocated, shifted careers and more. Therefore, including them in an outreach campaign is going to be a waste of time and effort.
