Exciting progress in Mountain Ash! Work has begun to prepare the site off Darran Road for a brand-new Extra Care and dementia care development, a joint project between Linc Cymru and Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. This much-needed scheme will provide 25 Extra Care apartments, 15 dementia residential care beds, and eight ‘Later Living’ bungalows—offering high-quality accommodation designed to support independent living for older people. With Hale Group Ltd appointed as the contractor for the enabling works, site clearance is now underway, marking the first step in bringing this important development to life. As part of Pobl Group, Linc remains committed to delivering sustainable, modern homes that enhance well-being and community living. Tackling Homelessness in Swansea Pobl, in partnership with Swansea Council, is set to transform the former Swansea Central Police Station into much-needed temporary supported accommodation for homeless individuals and couples. Llys Glas, a Grade II listed building in the heart of the city, will be redeveloped to provide 68 rooms with ensuite facilities, helping to reduce the council’s reliance on bed and breakfast accommodation. At Pobl, we believe that safe, secure housing is the foundation for positive change—and this project is another step towards tackling homelessness in Swansea.
