This time last week we were welcoming professionals with a passion for equity, diversity and inclusion to the Inclusion Forum North East held in Durham. Titled 'New Year, New Start', Lucy and Karen facilitated this free session to reflect on 2024 and look forward to the year ahead in these challenging times exploring: 🌍 geopolitical instability and how these worldwide issues and incidents impact the workplace 💷 economic downturn and the pressure to deliver the same results with less resource ⚖️ legislative changes in the UK and employer preparedness for reforms already made and with more to come Thank you to everyone who came along - we had some great feedback... "Brilliant morning at the the Inclusion Forum North East. Lovely opportunity to meet new people and to discuss key issues." "Thank you so much for today! It was one of the best networking sessions I’ve been to. Really enjoyed the format which allowed me to meet lots of people and to hear so much and good practice in different organisations." Our next event will be taking place in April and we have a really interesting venue coming up! Please get in touch if you'd like more information. https://lnkd.in/ewhj-Pbs

We were delighted to support the amazing team at Pride Action North by facilitating part of their strategic away day recently. We worked with the team to: 📅 review the progress made in the first year of their three year strategy 🪞 reflect on their current position within their organisation and sector context 💡 establish and prioritise the next steps required Thank you to Darren Irvine-Duffy for the opportunity to work with a fantastically committed and resourceful group of Trustees and the wider team.
What an incredible strategy day we had at the weekend with the Pride Action North Trustees and Staff! We spent the day diving deep into our vision for the future, reflecting on our achievements in Yr1 of our 3-year strategy, and planning the next steps to strengthen and communicating our impact in supporting LGBTQIA+ communities. The energy, passion, and commitment in the room were truly inspiring! A huge thank you to Lucy Malarkey (She/Her) and Karen Faulkner (she/her) from Positive About Inclusion for their expert facilitation. Their guidance helped us tackle very big questions, explore new opportunities, and stay focused. My reflection: Change is inevitable. 2025 is a year of renewal and transformation for Pride Action North, and I have such faith in my incredible colleagues to embrace new opportunities, overcome challenges, and continue driving meaningful impact for all LGBTQIA+ people. #TeamWorkMakesTheDreamWork 📷 Some of our amazing Pride Action North Trustees and Staff. Thank you to our friends at Northern Housing Consortium for sharing the details of our upcoming online Housing Masterclass taking place from 12 - 1.30pm on September 18th. This will be the first in a series of events presented by Lucy Malarkey (She/Her) and Karen Faulkner (she/her), who both share a passion for equity, diversity and inclusion and improving outcomes in the social housing sector. For organisations seeking to achieve the highest customer regulatory rating, teams on the front line must be equipped with the skills and confidence to recognise diverse needs and deliver equitable outcomes. Our workshop will explore simple tools and techniques to achieve this. More details in the link provided or contact Lucy or Karen direct. #UKHousing
Join Lucy Malarkey & Karen Faulkner from Positive About Inclusion for an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Masterclass in September! The regulatory landscape for social landlords has shifted with an increased focus from both the Regulator of Social Housing and the Housing Ombudsman on equity, diversity and inclusion. There is now a regulatory requirement to recognise diverse needs, make reasonable adjustments and ensure equitable outcomes - the attitude and mindset of those delivering frontline services are critical. Experts Lucy and Karen will help you explore the new regulatory landscape and deliver impactful customer service. Find out more and register here: https://lnkd.in/ea2xPFiM
