Our biggest f*ck up to date. Picture this. 🐐We created the best performance hydration product on the market. 🧂High salt, all the key electrolytes, no artificial flavours or sugar, only 6 ingredients. The absolute dream. 📸We fly out to St Moritz, to shoot the campaign with 2 of the best athletes on the planet. ✅We launch the product, it immediately becomes our best seller, both in revenue, and units sold. We had hundreds of 5* reviews. And then we realised, 🫠We’d f*cked it. 🔻Long story short, we wanted to use paper packaging, to best suit our values as a company. It turns out the salt attracted moisture from the air, through the paper packaging, leading to clumping. Nightmare. 😭We then own the mistake, email all of our customers that bought (shoutout Nathan Sussex) and take our best selling product off the website for 3 months. 📉Put simply, we lost out on £1000s. Where’s the story going? 🐐She’s back. Hearing the rattle of the powder in the new sachets, is up there with my best days at Puresport. Pure emotion. Those that know, know. Take a look; https://lnkd.in/eRvzXFkC P.s said Olympic finalist below, enjoying the salts in South Africa. Tough life for some!

A Black Friday campaign with a difference 👏 Instead of following the crowd and doing what every other brand will do this year by sending out lots of PR packages filled with free products to influencers, Puresport are taking an alternative approach. They're asking their community of influencers and creators to donate any unwanted sportswear items to Greenhouse Sports. The brand is also making a £10,000 donation alongside it. The 'Gift it Back' campaign aims to give back to those who need it most 👏 #SportsMarketing #BlackFriday

For our Puresport Black Friday campaign, we accidentally gifted 500 creators an empty box 🫠🤦 Accounting for up to 10% of a brands annual revenue, Black Friday has become the biggest shopping period of the year, and influencers play a huge role-72% of shoppers have made a purchase after seeing a recommendation from an influencer. This year, we decided to flip the script. While the market giants spend millions gifting influencers products to promote, we chose to gift them something slightly different… An empty box. Well, not quite empty. We included a note, and pre-paid shipping label, asking influencers to fill the ‘gift it back’ box with what they had in excess; the over gifted, unused, or extra items they received, and send them back to us. We have partnered with Greenhouse Sports, a charity that uses the power of sport and mentoring to transform young lives within schools in disadvantaged communities. To support their mission, we’re hosting a Run Club on the 30th November, to hand deliver the boxes to those that need them most. We are also donating £10,000 directly to Greenhouse, allowing them to put on up to 200 sports sessions for the kids they support. Revenue wise, she’s risky, but reality wise, how good!

“It’s not what you know, it’s who you know." The classic line. Turns out getting in-front of the right people, is bloody hard. Everyone’s busy, you’ll get left on ‘read’ more times than not, and your dream brand will have over 500 applicants for a ‘grad role’. I’ve had some great messages over the years, but been awful at replying. However, ✍️I’ve got some spare time in December, and would love to open up my diary to 5 people for a chat. I’m happy to share everything I’ve learned through my experience. From my advice on how to break into the industry, through to giving you the inside scoop on what it’s really like to work at a startup, any questions are fair game. I’m the third-longest employee at Puresport, specifically working in the ambassador management team, but have picked up a thing or two about start ups in general. While I’ve been at Puresport, the team has grown from 8 to 20. We’ve quadrupled our revenue, navigated multiple investment rounds, worked with some of the world’s biggest athletes, collaborated with major brands, launched world-first products, and expanded a product-first business. We’ve also grown the largest weekly run club in the UK and outsold many apparel brands. ✍️For anyone keen, feel free to drop me a DM and we can setup a time for a brew.

Back to Where It All Began 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Today’s run in Glasgow wasn’t just another shakeout—it was a reminder of how far we’ve come since 2019 and what it means to stay committed for the long run. As Puresport Co-founder Adam Ashe reminded us, Puresport started with a simple mission: to find natural products that could help with rugby injuries and break away from the quick-fix mentality. This vision has guided us since day one, and it’s incredible to see how many people have connected with it along the way. Hearing from those who first supported Puresport in 2019 and now hosting them at Exceed , Glasgow’s premium retail store, was a special moment. It’s a testament to the power of community and the connections that have been built along the journey. Big thanks to everyone who showed up yesterday 🫡

A coach, Ex pro athlete. Co founder of Puresport, Investor and Consultant.

Puresport x Exceed event yesterday morning in Glasgow. It was just round the corner from here on Buchannan street where I bought my first nootropic product. I had a day off from rugby training and my ankle had not recovered very well after an ankle surgery. I was popping paracetamol and diclofenac to get through training sessions on the sly without the medics knowing. I was desperate to get back on the field as I had been playing the best rugby of my career before the ankle injury. A bit of calcified bone had grown inside my ankle joint and everytime I ran I felt like there was a stone inbetween in fib and tib. I was really curious about CBD so I googled where can I buy CBD in glasgow. My iPhone maps took me to the middle of Buchannan street, I was at the address of the store but I couldn’t see it. I then realized the CBD was being sold out of a phone box which had been converted into a tiny shop in the middle of the street. I told the guy I was an athlete and I get drug tested. I then said can I be confident knowing that this product is free from contaminants or banned substances? The guy said no but I was that desperate that I bought it and used it anyway. That was where we were at in 2018. Now we are in such a different place. Nootropics are now more commonly used, thoroughly tested and more understood. Such powerful tools that I use everyday now. A simple desire to see if what nature provides can help heal and optimize the body so that a pro athlete could find more sustainable habits. The Exceed shop on Ingram street is epic. Check it out for sure if you are in the city. Thanks for all who attended and organised.

Returning to London more motivated than ever. A full circle moment (and a personal pinch me moment) for Puresport in Glasgow this weekend, returning to where it all began. When 150 people show up for a Puresport Shake Out and Pop Up with Exceed, it hardly feels like ‘work’. The weekend got even better on race day - we were back in the community, offering Puresport Ultra Electrolytes from our Cheerzone. Beyond grateful for opportunities like this - to an incredible team, our special community, and the exciting future ahead. P.s ALSO…We're excited to announce that Puresport Run Club kicks off next Tuesday in Glasgow, lead by Stephen Fraser. Message Stephen, or myself for details 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤍 Daniel Temm Nancy F. You want your dream job? Here’s an example of how to stand out. This person reached out with these two images attached, asking if we had any openings at Puresport. I’ve read over 2,000 CVs this year, and this one is more memorable than any of them. We’re not currently hiring, but I’m meeting this person for coffee next week. Why? Because they found a way to grab my attention. If you want your dream job, don’t just send your CV—find a way to make an impression.
