I was honoured to attend the Heart of Bucks Annual Reception on Wednesday. It was a privilege to speak to the charities in attendance and hear the fabulous work they are doing in our local communities.

I really enjoyed attending the FreeAgent Autumn Partner Roadshow with Chloe Jackson yesterday morning, held at the fantastic Silverstone Museum! Hearing about how far the FreeAgent platform has continued to improve over the past year was fascinating. There's many future additions that are still to come as well, which will only improve the already high quality of service that they are able to provide to their users. We were then invited to look around the museum, and we even managed to get a look at the track from the stand at the Luffield corner. Getting to see Jensen Button's championship winning Brawn GP car in the flesh was a huge highlight! Richardsons

🌿 Supporting Local Wildlife: Our CSR Initiative with Rotary Phoenix Thame As part of our corporate social responsibility, we proudly support Rotary Phoenix Thame with various volunteering projects. Recently, two of our dedicated team members, Tom and Jamie, joined forces with volunteers from other local businesses to construct hedgehog houses for 21st Century Thame’s Habitat Building Project. The Hedgehog Highways project, launched by 21st Century Thame in May 2023, aims to connect every garden in Thame, creating a continuous hedgehog highway. This initiative is a fantastic step towards promoting biodiversity in urban areas and helping wildlife thrive. To further this mission, they have now embarked on a project to build and distribute as many wildlife habitats as possible locally. We were delighted to attend Buckinghamshire Business First's Buckinghamshire Business Awards last night, and to sponsor the "Growth Business of the Year" Award. It's nearly been a week since we sponsored the Exit Right event on Oxfordshire's Funding Matrix alongside Freeths and Bidwells, held at the Oxford University Museum Of Natural History and kindly hosted by The Oxford Trust, Oxford Innovation, and Barclays Eagle Labs. Thank you to the highly experienced panel who offered a variety of different advice, experiences, and opinions on the best ways for entrepreneurs to secure funding and progress their innovative businesses. The discussion was extremely interesting and covered the current investing landscape, what investors are looking for, and the best ways to portray a company when founders are in the hunt for funding at all stages of their development. The panel discussion was followed by some networking in the lovely setting of the Museum. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces as well as making new connections. Today, Annabelle Middleton and I represented Richardsons at the Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School careers fair, which happens to be where I went to school for 7 years!! It was a surreal experience being back for the first time since I have begun my apprenticeship with Richardsons and I saw so many familiar faces. Aside from the intense nostalgia, the careers fair was another great experience. We spoke to lots of different age groups including those who wanted to learn more about what an accountant actually does all the way up to those who are assessing their options ahead of finishing their A-Levels next year. We were pleased to be approached by a large number of students who were interested in a uni alternative as we were able to share our own experiences of both studying the AAT. Our Haribo offering may have garnered some of that attention from the younger years…
