The Hütte Bohrtechnik GmbH HBR204 is a leader for performance in its class. a powerful, clean and economical Cummins B6.7 delivers 209kW (280Hp) of power and performance mated to a high output hydraulic system for superior performance. This power and performance is delivered to the EURODRILL GmbH RH52X rotary head giving over 5 ton of torque and also being capable of 150rpm from a strong robust design with no mechanical gears for great strength and reliability. Also coupled to that power and performance is the DM300 mast system delivering 15 ton of extraction and feed whilst offering over 6m of stroke. This mast can also be shortened to less than 6m overall for low headroom applications. This rig also comes equipped with the latest version of the Hutte magnetic rod handling system. This new version, combined with the hydraulic slewing and telescoping cathead, has been designed to pick rods up from horizontal to aid the addition and removal of drill rods. The head is also equipped with a tilt system that can also assist in the rod removal and rod fitting process. A vertical storage rack can hold up to 3 t of rods/casing. A choice of double breakout,70mm - 406mm, sliding/extraction clamps or a single 324mm - 880mm clamp are available depending on your requirements. A Caprari MEC MRW 80-1/3 flushing pump is also fitted for cleaning out the cuttings from the drill head whilst drilling. Myself and Felix Medd, TC Group’s Head Of Innovation and R&D Tax Reliefs, attended a superb event hosted by Westcott Venture Park bringing together the Silverstone Technology Cluster and Westcott Space Cluster. As Matt Peachey stated the Westcott site and facilities are a real jewel in the crown for our area, as are those at Silverstone Park. So why not work together for the benefit of all in said clusters. The concept is, by its very nature simple, but also very powerful. That being bring like minded individuals together from the two clusters, put them in a room, provide some context (and some food)and let them talk. The aim to forge closer working relationships and collaborate, collaborate, collaborate and support one another. Congratulations to all involved and all that attended. Milwaukee Breaks Ground on New Training Centre at Westcott Venture Park Ground has been broken on the new state-of-the-art training centre at Westcott Venture Park which will feature training facilities and meeting rooms, serving as our Training Centre in the UK. The Training Centre will help upskill around 300 employees by providing hands-on experience with a wide range of trade specific solutions. The facility will host team meetings and offer opportunities for customers and end users to engage with and experience Milwaukee’s product range. We will also have space to test our rapidly growing range of outdoor power equipment and MX Fuel ranges. Dale McElveen, Managing Director TTI UK & Ireland: “We are excited to finally break ground at Westcott Venture Park.
