  • Raising the Bar: Celebrating Excellence in Beer Quality at Robinsons 🍺   We are proud to announce that 112 of our pubs have achieved the prestigious ‘Gold Standard’ Award in 2024 for outstanding beer quality and customer service. This milestone highlights our commitment to excellence and providing an exceptional experience for our customers.   💬 Allen Bellamy, Trade Quality Brewer at Robinsons, shares: “The Best in Glass initiative together with the support of our Cellar services team helps drive improvements in beer quality, profitability and improves our customer’s experience.”   The Best in Glass initiative is an internal quality program run by our internal Technical Services team. The program enhances beer quality in our pubs by integrating audits, training, and data. This 360° approach helps optimise quality, reduce waste, boost sales, improve cellar standards, and reward beer quality champions. Our figures show that gold winners sell on average 13% more beer than those who don’t score at least 90% in their annual audit. The winners also outperform the beer market by 1.7% and the rest of the pub estate by 3.5%. It demonstrates that beer quality and cellar maintenance really does equate to greater sales performance.   This year’s increase in Gold Award winners is a testament to the dedication of our teams and their passion for delivering quality at every step. Congratulations to all our winners—your hard work is truly making a difference! 🎉   To learn more about Best in Glass and to see our pubs which achieved Gold, click to view the article here:   https://lnkd.in/erGVRM5d #RobinsonsBrewery #BeerQuality #BestInGlass #CustomerExperience

  • A few weeks ago, some of our multi skilled team from our Brewing, Bottling & Quality team visited Thatchers Cider in Somerset to see how they are using their business system, to manage their production operations across brewing, packaging and warehousing. This was part of us gaining a better understanding of how we can integrate Business Central with our operations to take us away from the current paper and Excel based systems and modernise how we work. It was fantastic to see how they received orders, planned production and executed those plans to deliver stock to their warehouse for out loading all using the same integrated system. We were able to gain some real-life insight into how Thatchers had adopted the system and gained full buy in from the teams on site when they launched their system. This will be invaluable in how we bring our teams on board with the development, training and go live of Business Central in our production operations. Thank you Thatchers Cider Company Ltd Thatchers for an insightful day! #Innovation #Brewery #Business #Technology

  • This year has been packed with pub refurbishments, but one standout project was the incredible work at The Red Cow in Nantwich. Our fantastic property team revitalised the 16th Century Old coaching inn, enhancing its functionality while preserving its historic charm. Here’s what we changed: ✅ Repurposed the function room: Once unused, it’s now a vibrant, multi-purpose space—ideal for private events or extra seating.  ✅ Kitchen extension: Added space and brand-new appliances to support our kitchen team in crafting even more delicious meals. Susie and Dax, our Pub Partners, are great food operators and this will help expand their successful business.  ✅ Restored original historical features: Wooden beams were sandblasted back to their natural beauty, brightening the space while showcasing its character.  ✅ A full external redecoration, a new door, and a canopy at the rear entrance make the pub even more welcoming.  ✅ Interior upgrades: A new bar with improved accessibility, refurbished furniture, framed local artwork, warm timber flooring, and cosy rugs around the fireplace create the perfect spot to enjoy a drink or two. This refurbishment celebrates The Red Cow’s rich heritage while adding thoughtful modern touches, ensuring it remains a welcoming space for every guest. If you’re in or around Nantwich, stop by for a delicious meal or a pint of Robinsons beer and experience the transformation for yourself. • We are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Best Partnership Pub Company category at the industry’s most celebrated The Morning Advertiser Publican Awards for the second year in a row!   The Publican Awards celebrate the best of the best in the pub industry, recognising great businesses, teams, partnerships and excellence. After being a hallmark of pub quality for over 30 years, the Publican Awards sees some of the biggest pub companies from across the country showcase their estate each year. It is such a delight to have reached the next stages of the judging.   We wouldn't be reaching this stage without the hard work and dedication of our Pub Partners and our incredible support teams, who provide exceptional levels of service and guidance to our Partners. We're extremely proud of our Pub Partnerships and our combined 'partnership' ethos. We've got our fingers crossed as we enter the next stage of the judging in January.   It's a fantastic Christmas present for us! • Here’s to 35 Years of Innovation with Simon Fuller! 🎉 From Mainframes to Microsoft, Simon Fuller has been a cornerstone of Robinsons Brewery’s IT evolution. Starting as a 19-year-old in our IT server room, Simon introduced our first PC, mobile phone, and was the driving force behind the move to virtual servers. Today, his focus is on the ever-changing challenge of cyber security, keeping Robinsons ahead of the curve. When asked what’s kept him here for 35 years, Simon said, “I don’t feel like I go to work anymore—it’s like being with family.” We’re incredibly proud of Simon’s contributions and grateful for his dedication. Here’s to 35 years of innovation, resilience, and the family spirit that defines Robinsons. Thank you, Simon! 👏 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/epxjsYQM #RobinsonsBrewery #WorkAnniversary #WorkMilestone #EmployeeAppreciation

  • This November we celebrated 125 years of Old Tom across the business. This iconic craft beer has been in production ever since it was first brewed in 1899. With the name derived from the old brewery cat and our limited-edition vintage logo being a sketch from the head brewer, Alfred Munton, who created the beer, it’s a beer full of heritage and history. Available in bottle all year around, Old Tom comes to life on our bars from November each year where we encourage our pubs to get involved in ‘Old Tom Day’. This year, being 125 years old we went large with our celebrations. We wanted the birthday to be a tribute to Old Tom’s loyal fans who have enjoyed this malty craft beer for generations. We asked our customers if they’d like to share some of their special moments they’ve enjoyed with a glass of Old Tom. We got over 150 responses, each sharing personal experiences and memories associated with our beer. As well as poems, we received a story written about Old Tom, one of our poems was put into a jingle with a guitar and another two songs recorded too. The local writing group, The Writing Squad, immersed themselves in the feelings and memories of our customers and created four poems, filled with their sentiment. These poems then appeared across our pubs on beer mats, inside menus, and the showstopper – a temporary mural on the side of one of our iconic Stockport pubs, the Arden Arms. We invited the collaborators who made it into our artwork to share a glass of Old Tom together and to visit the wall mural. Alongside celebrating the people who have made the beer a success for all of these years, we’ve hosted an Old Tom tasting dinner, a celebration with colleagues, limited edition flasks for our teams and we even branded up the Etihad stadium for the day. Thank you to every one of our customers and colleagues who have been a part of this month’s celebrations. We’ve been deeply moved by the enthusiasm and energy of our customers. Here’s to countless more memories and the next 125 years of Old Tom cat.
