Our mission, in collaboration with Sioo Wood Protection AB, is to be the catalyst for more sustainable buildings, homes and our planet. The steel and concrete industry is responsible for 9% of global CO2 emissions, which is three times the emissions of the airline industry. A key factor in addressing CO2 emissions and the issue of global warming is to find new ways of capturing CO2 from the atmosphere. Timber products play a vital role here, as trees capture CO2 as they grow, which is then locked in and stored in the timber indefinitely. As well as its carbon capture properties, timber is also a fully renewable resource with low embodied energy. Therefore, within the built environment, the longer a timber product is in service, the better. SiOO:X Wood Protection coatings support this by providing a natural, protective barrier and producing a consistently weathered finish which lasts. All while being comprised of only natural and non-toxic ingredients, and being biocide and emission free. #renewableworld
