Poppi-gate: bigger doesn’t always mean better! Ahead of the Super Bowl earlier this week, Probiotic drinks brand #Poppi fell flat when it sent 32 influencers vending machines to enjoy the game with. Consumers have been flooding TikTok comments with their thoughts, with the ultimate takeaway being that: Poppi is out of touch. And on top of that? Poppi’s main competitor, #Olipop, has been in the comments stirring the pot. What are the learnings here? ☕ Consumers are tired of extravagant gifts being sent to influencers and celebs. They want to see dedicated customers and communities in need reaping these rewards. 👀 It takes one bad campaign (and one hungry competitor) to tarnish an otherwise perfect scorecard. Everyone makes mistakes, but it’s good to learn how to read the room. 👉 Bigger does NOT mean better. The campaign has drawn millions of views, but was it worth it? Only time will tell.
