I've had a number of people reach out to me recently as they are reviewing their cloud crawling solution for 2025. They are normally using one of Botify, Lumar or OnCrawl. Typical issues they are experiencing currently include: - Current crawler is too expensive - Current crawler is too limiting (project limits/crawl credits) - JavaScript rendering not good enough - Interface is not intuitive and/or difficult to use Sitebulb Cloud can help with all of the above. A lot of these other products have ended up adding tons of features to become full blown 'website optimization platforms'. Which is great, if that's what you want. But often the thing that gets compromised is the crawl data. We don't believe that is right. In fact we believe that crawl data is the single most important thing when it comes to technical SEO. Please feel free to DM me if any of the above resonates, I'd love to arrange a quick call and talk it through with you. You won't get any typical sales BS from me - we'd just chat about what you need/want, and if suitable I can show you how Sitebulb works.

Unsolicited #SEO tip: According to the 2024 Web Almanac 1 in 50 pages has its canonical tag changed during rendering 🤦♂️ 🖇️ Ideally, your canonical tag should be present in the 'raw' HTML, and I am certain that some of these rendering changes will be breaking canonical tags. 🤷♂️ Giving inconsistent signals such as canonicals, lastmod, and hreflang can cause Google to simply ignore your 'guidance' and make their own mind up. ❗ Make sure you're testing both raw and rendered output! h/t to Jamie Indigo for the great work here!

What do bouncing tennis balls, the 90s video game Theme Park, traffic lights, and Google exploits have in common? According to Candour's Mark Williams-Cook, they're all surprisingly important parts of doing "advanced SEO". Check out his excellent session from Search Norwich 19. Definitely good info to have for both new and experienced SEOs ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/gVdb2GSz

I've been working with Sitebulb for a while now and I'm very happy with it, and I wanted to share a few details of my experience. If you are auditing with only a single configuration, it is possible to miss SEO issues or at least not discover the root cause. First of all, here are 3 settings I like to make sure I consider when browsing a website; 🤖 User agent: If possible, I always want to crawl as Googlebot to see what the site is showing Google. I will almost always run another crawl with a standard user agent to see if the site has intentionally made any changes for Google. I've seen big mistakes in this process (including a large site with millions of visitors showing Google a 100% empty site). 📱 Device: Googlebot crawls on mobile, so this is always a priority, but I like to do secondary crawls on desktop to see again if the site has made any changes in between. 📔 JS vs non-JS: Very important, many crawlers will now automatically do the non-JS crawl at the same time as the rendered JS crawl. Anything in your HTML can be changed by JS, links can be added, <head> can be added, redirects can be made, it's vital to know what's going on. Sitebulb gives one of my favorite comparisons here. #seo #seohint
