🌟 Black Funding Network: Empowering Black-led Change with Patricia Hamzahee FRSA 🌟 The Black Funding Network (BFN) is transforming support for grassroots Black-led organisations across the UK with the aim to address the long-standing underfunding of Black-led community groups, which have often been overlooked by traditional funders. Patricia describes BFN as a “giving circle” that brings together individuals, companies, and organisations to support small, under-resourced grassroots groups—many of which operate with less than £100k in annual turnover and rely on volunteers. The network’s goal is to provide both financial aid and visibility to organisations making a real difference in Black communities. Patricia believes that community connections are key, with BFN events offering a platform for collaboration, resource-sharing, and mutual support. 💡 Learn more about Black Funding Network and its impact: https://lnkd.in/ejRTwpsf #BlackFundingNetwork #GiveBlack #Philanthropy #Grassroots #EmpoweringChange #CommunitySupport #BlackLedInitiatives #SocialImpact #UNSDG #SDG10 #ReducedInequalities #SDG17 #PartnershipsForTheGoals GiveBLACK UK

🎄 Rob Rinder presides over Nestlé Quality Street's trial of recyclable paper tubs 🎄 This Christmas, Quality Street is trialling a new recyclable paper tub in selected Tesco stores across England and Wales. In a fun twist, broadcaster and barrister Rob Rinder MBE is leading the ‘courtroom trial’ of the new packaging, debating whether it can compete with the beloved classic and plastic tubs. As part of their ongoing sustainability efforts, Quality Street is offering 200,000 paper tubs, following their successful shift to recyclable paper wrappers in 2022. The initiative is a step forward in reducing waste, with the brand aiming to lessen its reliance on plastic. Jemma Handley, Senior Brand Manager, said: “We’re excited to be the first major brand to trial a recyclable paper tub at Christmas. Working with Rob Rinder to make a case for this change felt like the perfect way to reassure our customers.” Find out more about the upcoming court trial and Quality Street’s sustainability journey here: https://lnkd.in/e_3PvYKG #Sustainability #QualityStreet #EcoFriendly #RobRinder #Christmas2025 #PlasticFree #GreenPackaging #Chocolates

🎄 This Christmas, Let’s Bring Hope to Those Who Need It Most 🎄 For many, the festive season is a time of joy and togetherness. But for others, it’s a time of struggle. A food bank is the last place anyone imagines they’ll need to turn to – especially at Christmas. Last winter, Trussell food banks distributed an astonishing 600,000 food parcels to people facing hunger and poverty. This year, the need is just as urgent as more families are struggling to afford even the essentials. Your generosity can make all the difference. By donating to Trussell's urgent winter appeal, you’ll provide more than just food – you’ll offer hope, dignity, and relief to those in financial hardship. How You Can Help: 🛒 Donate Food - What to donate: Non-perishable, in-date items like tins, packets, and baby food (jars, pouches, rusks). - Where to donate: Drop off at your local supermarket or community donation points. Use the map to find your closest one: https://lnkd.in/eg2X88r3 💝 Donate Funds: Every pound helps Trussell to provide essential support to those who need it most. Together, we can make sure no one faces Christmas hungry or alone. #TrussellTrust #ChristmasAppeal #DonateFood #EndHunger #CommunitySupport
