Such a positive start to the week at NHS South Yorkshire ICB Women Inspired Network's International Women's Day event with Hannah Dougherty. Chaired by the fabulous Hannah Din, with inspiring speakers championing the need for inclusion, tolerance, collaboration, joy, honesty and trust to build better services, systems and futures for women across South Yorkshire. Always a joy to hear Safiya Saeed talk about her life and work and other excellent speakers including Maysoon Shafiq the UK's first female, Muslim Chaplaincy lead at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Lou Mycroft FRSA and Diane Offers. And great to see so many friends and connect with new people Edyta Bancer - Dunham Margaret Lewis Pam Daniel amongst others! Thank you to all the organisers for inviting South Yorkshire Housing Association to have a stall and to talk about brilliant programmes like WorkWell & Changing Futures!

We're continuing to celebrate National Careers Week #NCW2025 by talking to our brilliant keyworkers, who have shared more about their role, skills and experiences. Today, we meet Desney, who has been a Keyworker at the Indigo Project for over four years. The project provides homes in Rotherham and Barnsley for vulnerable single adults who are sleeping rough, through the Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme (RSAP). The project provides homes and collaborates with partners to support people to achieve their goals and aspirations to move on to independent living. We asked Desney what she enjoys most about her role as a keyworker, and she said:   “I enjoy meeting new people, and seeing customers progress and grow with the help and support from myself. Barry is a Keyworker at Lister Project, a role he’s been in for three years. Lister Project is a residential service for adults who have enduring mental health conditions and supports customers to grow their confidence, be more independent, and build on their strengths to support their recovery. Barry is a music enthusiast and has introduced a music group to Lister Project, which is being enjoyed by many of the customers. Barry said 👇 "At the Lister Project I have brought my music set up in and we get together regularly. We play our favourite songs and ask people why they like them.
