About us

We help anyone who may be struggling with their mental health and/or thoughts of suicide. Our volunteers aim to signpost individuals to the most relevant support available to them at that time, to get them to get the help they deserve.

Does your workplace talk about the silent 's' word? The word that enters our news feed more than we would expect and pops up more often in friendships and family too. What about training and sharing a space where you can ask questions? Questions that you feel worried to ask or for fear of saying the wrong thing. This Suicide Prevention Day Ripples we are working with our partners Suicide Prevention UK to provide a unique workshop combining lived experience storytelling and Suicide Awareness Training. Workshops can be provided the week leading into, and the week beyond, this years SPD. Reach out if you want to find out more or book the training for your organisation: heidi@rippleswellbeing.co.uk #suicideawarenesstraining #suicideawareness #mentalhealth #training

📢 A massive well done to one our Manufacturing Team Leaders, Lee Gardiner, who organised a charity football match between the Motorhome Production Operatives and the Caravan Production Operatives to raise money for Suicide Prevention UK Alongside Lee, another of our employees, Megan Fifoot, helped organise this event, by raising two teams from our employees to take part in the match on a very hot day in May. As well as donating money to help with this event, our Charity & Community Committee also donated t-shirts and water bottles to everyone who took part. The match was very competitive and the two teams battled all the way through with the final result ending up at 5 goals to the Motorhome Team and 3 goals to the Caravan Team. The match was well refereed by one of our long serving and very well respected employee, Alan West, and there is already a re-match being planned by the Caravan Team to win the trophy next time! ⚽🏆 Lee and Megan also organised a raffle to raise extra money and overall they raised an amazing amount coming in at over £1300! A massive well done to Lee, Megan and Alan plus all of our employees who took part. Not only did you raise a fantastic amount for a very worthy cause you displayed a real sense of community and team spirit! 👏👏👏 If you would like to find out more about our Charity & Community Committee ➡️ https://bit.ly/3wt6FIA If you would like to know more about Suicide Prevention UK ➡️ https://bit.ly/43rbgcl #gobailey #thenationsfavourite #suicidepreventionuk #charity&communitycommittee

A huge well done to First West of England bus driver Sam Wetherill who completed the National Three Peaks Challenge yesterday, climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in just 24 hours! 🏔🏔🏔 Inspired by our partnership with Bristol-based Suicide Prevention UK, Sam climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon to raise money for the charity and is very close to hitting his £750 target 🤞 Sam said: “I absolutely love climbing mountains, and when I heard about First Bus’ partnership with Suicide Prevention UK and read more about what they do, I wanted to help their really important work.” To donate, visit: https://lnkd.in/egNNBhDR
