  • 2024 has gotten off to a great start for Team Springhill thanks to our latest CQC inspection where we were granted the top accolade of Outstanding! Each and every one of our staff and volunteers has helped make that happen, and so to say thank you, our Chief Executive Wooficer, Wilson, personally thanked team members with chocolate treats and doggy cuddles. Our CEO Sam was equally as moved by our success: ”To receive Outstanding at any time is wonderful, but to receive it after all the challenges thrown at the Hospice over the last few years is absolutely incredible, and a testament to every single member of staff and volunteer. It’s a real privilege to be a part of this team and this recognition could not be more well deserved.” Thank you to everyone who made it happen and to you, our supporters, who keep us going with your fundraisers, donations and constant support. Rest assured we will continue to be Outstanding for each and every patient that needs us. • A massive thanks to Target Fire Protection for sponsoring our upcoming Christmas Tree Collection! The Hospice team will be out from Friday 10th – Monday 13th January 2025 to collect trees across the borough of Rochdale. For a minimum donation of £10 the team will collect your tree from outside your property. From there your tree will be taken to the Hospice where it will be recycled and turned into chippings! The chippings are then used for pathways and garden beds within the Hospice grounds. Find out more: https://buff.ly/3UNWQla

  • ✨ Day 10 – Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers. From volunteers in our retail team to kitchen volunteers, garden volunteers, and everyone in between we are so thankful to everyone who volunteers their time with us. Springhill Hospice really couldn’t run without the amazing support provided from our volunteers. Last year our volunteers gave just short of 50,000 hours and saved the Hospice just under half a million pounds! We will always be indebted to their wonderful support. 💚 Donate to Springhill Hospice this Winter and help us to continue to give palliative care support to local people and their loved ones. https://buff.ly/3OpTl0I

  • Our Light up a Life celebrations this year were beautiful. Even though the storm caused us to move our celebration on Saturday inside, it was still a special afternoon spent remembering loved ones. Thank you to everyone who attended the service on the 5th at St Chad’s Church and to everyone who joined us for our Candlelight Celebration on the 7th. We hope you found peace and reflective time during the celebrations. Thank you again to H Bell and Sons for sponsoring our Light up a Life tree. A special thanks to: ✩ Our Readers ✩ St Chad’s Church Choir ✩ Broadfield School Choir ✩ Reverend Anne Gilbert and the clergy of St Chad’s Church ✩ ROMA Fundraising ✩ Paul Jenkins, poet ✩ Bishop Mark Davies ✩ Blackrod Community Choir ✩ No Words Aloud Please note, we are still taking dedications for stars on our trees until they come down in January, so you are still able to make a donation in your loved one's honour. You can also watch our virtual celebration and see our Book of Lights on our website. Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/esjUBwwg
