The sale starts at 10:30 with no pre-registration required - just show up, make your bid, and take your fresh, dressed bird home! Our café will be open too, so you can grab a bite while you shop. Today, Rod Cordingley BSc FRICS FAAV led our team in a year-end roundup, which was followed by a festive buffet lunch. ❗Important update on Capital Grants❗ The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has temporarily closed applications for 76 capital grant items following 'exceptional high demand'. According to Defra, this pause is intended to prioritise funding for areas it believes will deliver the most benefit for food security and nature recovery. Some grants, like Woodland Tree Health and Higher Tier Capital Grants, remain open, and payments under existing agreements are unaffected. Key things to know: ➡️Existing applications: Applications already submitted but not yet offered agreements are on hold. Defra will provide an update in early 2025. ➡️Work start dates: If work begins before your agreement starts, you will not be eligible for funding and must cover costs yourself. ➡️No retrospective claims: Work carried out before an agreement start date cannot be reimbursed.
