At Sysdoc UK, we recently asked our employees to nominate charities which are close to their hearts, for us to support this winter. We received a number of wonderful nominations, and are proud to share that we have donated to the following five amazing causes: Nacro - Based in London, Nacro aims to reduce reoffending by offering a range of services to help people rebuild their lives ultimately working towards creating lasting positive change in society. WK Foundation - Dedicated to helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by offering them the tools and opportunities to succeed, through training and internships Sunshine and Smiles - Leeds Down Syndrome Network Supports children and young people in Leeds with down syndrome by working closely with hospitals, health and education professionals, and other charities to improve the lives of those they support. THE NIA PROJECT - Provides services for women and girls in London who have been subject to abuse and focuses on providing safety, support, and empowerment to those affected helping them rebuild their lives. Bristol After Stroke - A local charity in Bristol dedicated to helping individuals rebuild their lives after experiencing a stroke through a variety of practical, social, emotional and psychological support. What an enlightening session yesterday at the Movac ‘Marketing Jam’ in Tāmaki Makaurau! We were joined by 170 Tech Marketing and Growth leaders, who had the privilege of hearing from 6 incredible industry experts. Here are some key takeaways from the event: 💚 Nick Whitehead, CMO at Serko shared his insights on how to “woo, date, and fall in love” with your channel partners. His advice: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Building strong partnerships and giving partnership salespeople the right tools to succeed can accelerate your business growth. 👐 Zheng Li, VP Marketing at Raygun discussed Raygun’s strategy of doubling down on the Microsoft Developer Community, making Raygun a go-to partner for new developers. She also shared three key tips: look for brands and customers with the same ICP, start partnerships with an offer rather than an ask, and remember that people love to be called influential. 🍓 Anne Fulton, CEO & Founder at Fuel50, shared her bold marketing strategies and how standing out at major US tradeshows helped Fuel50 grab attention. Anne’s bold move against a competitor who copied their marketing collateral: covering their stand with warning tape and cease and desist letters! 💻 Paul Grey, Founder of A2X, emphasized the power of customer reviews. Paul’s advice: make it easy for customers to leave reviews, and make sure you know what the most important review site is for your product. He also touched on how AI can help companies boost review efficiency while balancing authenticity. 🏗 Emma Macfarlane, Ex-GM Growth Marketing at Xero, reflected on building a new marketing and growth team. Emma’s key advice: break down silos, celebrate the learning over the winning, and hold high human expectations. Her focus on a human-first culture helped her team deliver exceptional outcomes. 🔨 Nick Houldsworth, Ex-CMO at Vend, suggested that if your marketing is not a little bit uncomfortable, you might not get noticed. His example - creating content for Vend around smashing cash registers, to show how the outdated point-of-sale industry is being disrupted.
