A gentle reminder that there's **no Friday 8.15am practice this week** on 27 December. Sessions resume on Friday 3 January as we welcome Alex Irving to guide our weekly mindfulness practice at 8:15 am (UK time) on the theme of courage. 🙏 These sessions are open to all, and donations are welcome. Start the new year with a moment of mindfulness: https://buff.ly/3qI0iPq

NEW BOOK AND INTERNATIONAL ONLINE RETREAT We are delighted that Routledge Taylor & Francis Group, the publishing house for our English books on Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living (MBCL) and on ‘Mindful Communication', will soon publish our book about going on a meditation retreat. It was initially written by my partner Jetty Heynekamp and me in Dutch language and published by Asoka as 'Op retraite' in 2021. It describes the whole process of going on a meditation retreat (7 days), for this new and more comprehensive publication, we are very glad that Victoria Norton has joined us as a third author and editor. ▶️ You can pre-order the book on March 12th, 2025. It will be published in the beginning of April. INTERNATIONAL ONLINE RETREAT From Tuesday 29th April – Sunday 4th May 2025 Bridgette ‘O Neill, my partner Jetty and myself will offer an international online meditation retreat for the Mindfulness Network. It will be aimed at deepening mindfulness and developing four valuable relational qualities or Friends for Life as we call them in the Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living or MBCL compassion training: kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity. ▶️ The retreat is suitable for anyone who is familiar with the practice of mindfulness, preferably by having attended an eight-week mindfulness course. It is particularly intended for mindfulness teachers and others who wish to integrate mindfulness into their professional work. 🔽 See the weblinks in the first Comments below this post for more information about our book ‘Going on a Meditation Retreat’ and about the International Online Retreat ‘Deepening and Extending the Foundations of Mindfulness with Four Friends for Life’, hosted by the Mindfulness Network UK 🔽 #book #psychology #buddhistpsychology #goingonameditationretreat #compassion #wisdom #embracingsilencetocultivatemindfulnessandcompassion #mindfulness #vipassana #meditation #silentretreat #meditationretreat #internationalmindfulnessretreat #meditation #retreat #meditationretreat #online #mindfulness #network #mindfulnessretreat #foundationsofmindfulness #fourfriendsforlife #kindness #compassion #joy #sympatheticjoy #equanimity #mindfulnessbasedcompassionateliving #mbcl #satipatthana #brahmavihara
