Thank you to everyone who attended our 4th Annual Conference, Critical Minerals: Breaking New Ground, at the Royal College of Physicians in London on 2 December. This was our largest event to date, welcoming over 300 members of academia, support services, government and industry from across the global minerals supply chain. We were honoured to host opening remarks from the Chairs of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Critical Minerals: Noah Law MP, Perran Moon MP and Baroness Lindsay Northover. Our conference featured presentations from the International Energy Agency (IEA), Department for Business and Trade, UK Export Finance, and the Critical Minerals Intelligence Centre at the British Geological Survey; a fireside chat with the Associate Minister of Mines for Ontario, Stephen Crawford; and panel discussions with experts from the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK, The Risk Advisory Group, Johnson Matthey, National Crime Agency (NCA), Innovate UK, Mkango Resources Ltd., Satarla, UK Space Agency, National Wealth Fund, TechMet Ltd, Cornish Lithium Plc, Durham University, and more. We were also pleased to a side event for ERM on Cornwall and the South West; an International Room with Critical Minerals Association USA and Critical Minerals Association Australia; and a showcase of partnership opportunities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia with the Department for Business and Trade. At the start of 2024, Saudi Arabia implemented its Regional Headquarters (RHQ) program in an effort to boost stagnant #FDI flows.
