Thank you to our Friends of Vindolanda and invited guests who joined us last night at the official opening of our Magna Project at the Roman Army Museum. We were delighted to welcome our Patron Robson Green to light our sculptural beacon formally opening this milestone for The Vindolanda Charitable Trust. Visitors can now enjoy our new activity centre when visiting the Roman Army Museum with an enhanced summer events programme which includes archery, falconry, re-enactment and live archaeology. Thanks to our funders the National Lottery Heritage Fund who’s support enabled this project to become a reality. Thank you to Doonan Architects Ltd for designing such a fantastic space and an absolute pleasure to once again work with Cubby Construction Limited (they only had to deal with 7 named storms during the build!!) Paul Nicholson and Sine Consulting Ltd . Our friends The Firepit Company have designed us another beautiful fire sculpture and Hexham based Agydo works created a phenomenal indoor beacon too!
