📈⚡️Value creation in uncertain times ⚡️ 📈 was the topic of my keynote speech yesterday at Finance Futures - the Executive Summit with TheBusinessDesk.com Headstar PIB Insurance Brokers What a brilliant event and audience as well as guest speakers and panellists. The morning was split into: 1) economic growth 2) business growth 3) personal growth Very much enjoyed the keynote from Andrew McPhillips at the The Northern Powerhouse Partnership highlighting the challenging outlook for the next 12 months but the things to be optimistic about on regional initiatives and opportunities for Northern businesses. I followed this and shared some nuggets on how Mamas & Papas is focused on value creation both through operational efficiency, gross margin and working capital improvements to unlock the funding for exciting business initiatives. Being prepared is even more important in times of uncertainty and the role of finance is not just about managing the numbers; it’s about being a strategic enabler. Personal growth and team development was the last session and Sharon Naidoo gave an impactful speech about authentic leadership and being yourself.
