Today, we honour the men, women, and animals who lost their lives in war and conflict.   Last Friday, our CEO, Jannine, laid a wreath at the Animals in War Memorial on Park Lane, paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the countless animals who served alongside our forces. Remember, Remember: Your pup this November 🔔   As Halloween, Diwali, and Bonfire Night light up the sky, we would like to remind everyone that this season isn’t all celebration-it’s a stressful time for many animals. Our new statistics show an 81% increase in dogs reported missing during the fireworks season. We’re urging dog owners to be vigilant and calling on the Government to review fireworks legislation to protect pets.   Our Top Tips for Protecting Your Dog This Season:🐶  - Create a cosy, safe space with your dog’s favourite toys.  - Keep doors and windows shut, and curtains drawn.  - Play calming music or ambient noise to help mask outdoor sounds.  - Ensure your pet’s microchip details are up to date via Petlog for a swift reunion if needed. This Wednesday, we joined our fellow members of the Fireworks Working Group at the impactful Fireworks Drop-in Event at Portcullis House, sponsored by Dr Nick Hudson MP. This event was dedicated to addressing shared concerns over the dangers that fireworks pose to both animals and people, and advocating for a review of the current legislation. We were heartened to see strong cross-party backing, with many MPs signing our pledge board to demonstrate their commitment to this cause. As part of the Fireworks Working Group, we remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of dogs and all animals affected by fireworks.
