🏗️ PROJECT UPDATE: Lancaster Wharf, Birmingham We’re pleased to report continued progress on our 266-bed luxury residential development at Lancaster Wharf in Birmingham city centre. Since our last update, our team has completed the concrete framework up to the 18th floor out of a total of 23 storeys. Internal fix and fit-out works are also well underway, with fit-out ongoing up to the 8th floor. Work is advancing across other areas, with windows installed and facades continuing up to the 11th floor. The next stages will focus on roof installation, followed closely by internal fit-out across additional floors. We’re proud to share that our site team received strong scores in the recent Considerate Constructor assessment—a testament to their hard work and commitment, including apprentices actively contributing alongside subcontractors. PROJECT UPDATE: Sky Gardens, Leeds Progress at Sky Gardens continues with the slipform core reaching halfway, approximately 50 metres poured up to level 5 slab. Drainage and duct works have advanced, allowing for mast climber bases to be set up. This keeps us on schedule for sub-structure brickwork and mast climber installation in the coming season. The core construction is climbing at a pace of one floor every nine days, with the Haki tower following along the west elevation. Preparations are underway for SFS installation, alongside the commencement of low-level brickwork to facilitate mast climber support. Reinforced concrete framework is ongoing, while M&E, façade, dry lining, and blockwork subcontractors begin mobilising on-site, ensuring continued progress into the coming months. Our team have just completed the crane tie at level 24, which means we're now ready to take our build to new heights – literally! The crane will climb past level 34, extending another 35m into the Leeds skyline with a scheduled extension to a final height of 110 metres. Congratulations to Employees of the Month from David Ashley – Dilpreet Singh, Jordan Washington, and Max Cai – for their dedicated contributions. Our apprentice, Louis Oneil, has transitioned from commercial to operations, continuing his development with the Sky Gardens team. Sky Gardens will feature 284 residential 1, 2, and 3-bed apartments in Leeds Southbank. ✨ Burley Studios Tops Out! ✨ Last Thursday, we celebrated a key milestone with our project partners at the Topping Out ceremony for Burley Studios, a 189-bed student accommodation development in Leeds. It was a pleasure to showcase our progress on site and recognise the hard work of everyone involved, especially Christopher Sykes and the site team. Aligned with our commitment to greener developments, Burley Studios is designed to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and is on track for Fitwel 3-star certification, emphasising spaces that support residents’ physical and mental wellbeing. 🚧 Project Update: One Victoria, Manchester – 129 Luxury Apartments 🚧 We’re excited to share the latest progress on One Victoria, our luxury apartment development in the heart of Manchester. With each passing week, both blocks are taking shape, and the project is advancing at an impressive pace. In Block A, essential installations (first fix) are complete up to level 12, while the next stage is progressing to level 7. Kitchens are already installed on levels 1 and 2, adding a touch of the finished product to the interiors. The building’s main substation structure is also set up and ready for cable installation. Externally, all glazing is installed and fully sealed, making the structure watertight. The brickwork is done up to level 9 along Great Ducie Street, and insulation is nearly complete, ready for the final rendering phase. Over in Block B, we’re seeing rapid internal progress. Internal walls and partitions are up, and finishing work is well underway up to level 5. Kitchens and joinery are already fitted on levels 1 to 3, while exterior brick slips are more than halfway done and soon ready for final mortar work. The lifts in Block B are fully operational, and those in Block A are scheduled to follow in the coming weeks. Other highlights include fully tiled wet rooms in both blocks, with white goods installations set to begin shortly. Additionally, our show apartment in Block A is now complete, and we look forward to welcoming prospective buyers for viewings soon. PROJECT UPDATE: Fawcett Street, York Progress continues at our 82-bed Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) scheme in York, with the team actively working on external façade boarding, window installations, brickwork, and roofing. Internally, first fixes, partitioning, boarding, and MEP installations are all advancing on schedule. Cladding installation is set to begin in November, along with further internal fit-out, second-fix boarding, and plastering. We recently organised a McMillan Coffee morning, supported by our MEP contractor, Future Power Systems, ADVANCE GLASS LIMITED (Window & Doors), Abscaff Ltd (Scaffolder) and FAA (Dryliner). A big thank you to everyone that contributed! We raised over £100 for this well deserving charity. Proud to have two apprentices on site with Future Power Systems. ✨ EXCITING NEWS: Our Burnsall House development in Warwick has topped out! ✨ A hugely significant milestone for our 196-bed student accommodation scheme. Earlier this week, we welcomed our project partners for an official Topping Out ceremony to showcase the fantastic progress we've made. It also gave them an opportunity to see our plans for driving the project forward to completion. PROJECT UPDATE: Burley Street, Leeds Progress is moving swiftly on-site at our 189-studio student accommodation development on Burley Street, Leeds. We’re excited to report that all concrete frame works have been completed up to level 5, with core 1 stairs installed up to level 7. Brickwork on the substructure is progressing well, alongside the internal blockwork on the ground floor, with the scaffold now commenced which will wrap around the building. Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for the next major milestone—concrete pours for levels 6, 7, and 8, as well as the installation of columns and parapets. The SFS installation is also set to begin shortly, alongside window installation and insulation in preparation for the brick façade. We’re also proud to recognise our Employee of the Month, Richard Wilson (pictured left with Ed Newman, Technical Apprentice), who’s been instrumental in keeping the project on track. Richard's positive and proactive attitude has made a real difference, and we’re pleased to present him with a well-deserved £25 Amazon voucher in recognition of his efforts. In addition to the great progress on-site, we're pleased to announce that the project has achieved an Excellent score in our first Considerate Constructors Scheme assessment, with another review scheduled this month. We’re developing Burley Street with our joint venture partner Zenzic Capital, and are on track to complete the project ahead of the 2025/26 academic year.
