The misconception that they don’t want to embrace change. Often, they’re just selective with their time. If you can demonstrate how the technology directly addresses their pain points, the conversation shifts. Align Messaging with Goals: Don’t just roll out new tech for the sake of it. Link it to key firm objectives and team goals. When lawyers see how it drives outcomes they care about, engagement improves. Connect the Dots for Them: Make it crystal clear how this tech will support their day-to-day goals. Be the change driver by showing where it adds value. Loved going to LegalGeek this year. Felt so good to be back on stage sharing my views and to reconnect with both the individuals within and the legal geek community as a whole. Such great energy from people driving change in the industry, and all of the conversations and talks I heard really reconfirmed for me the need for legal (and beyond) to shift their approach to innovation. What we need now more than ever is innovation embedded across all of a business. People need to be engaged with innovation which is embedded in the firm's/company's strategy. They need to be enabled to create change with new skills, and they need to be empowered to actually make these changes with different processes for innovation and resource allocation. Really looking forward to working with so many new, and old friends, on creating the change we seek in the industry going forward!!! I know I took more pictures but they must be on others' phones!!
