Last week Duncan Ribbons, Tropic’s VP IP & Regulation, presented at the NGT Innovations for Competitive European Farming event in Brussels to share with key figures in the industry the positive impact of Tropic’s advanced technology to produce non-browning and disease resistant bananas. Hosted by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), the event brought together politicians, policymakers and experts to hear from innovative SMEs that are using gene editing technology to drive sustainable and competitive farming. Sharing insights with key stakeholders from the European Parliament, European Commission, COPA COGECA and industry peers from J.R. Simplot Company and Pairwise the event brought meaningful panel discussions to shape the future of sustainable agriculture. At the forefront of developing climate resilient crops, our cutting-edge technology will reduce food waste, reduce emissions and create more secure and sustainable production for growers, farmers and consumers.
