Need a vertical farm and everything else needed to support it, from data, through to operations and R&D collaborations? We're here to help. Vertical Future is a global vertical farming technology and data company, founded in 2016, and Global Innovator in the World Economic Forum. Our team design, manufacture, and build a range of proprietary hardware and software technologies, including an integrated vertical farming system – fully automated from seed through to harvest. Powered by its proprietary “DIANA” SaaS system that tracks, analyses, and improves the entirety of the growing process together with underpinning crop science carried out in-house, Vertical Future is building a global network of data-enriched, smart farms. Vertical Future’s partners, customers, and farms can be found across the UK and globally including the Middle East, Singapore and Australia. Growing using a Vertical Future system means greater efficiency, higher quality crops, less land use, and enhanced water and fertiliser conservation compared to broadacre and glasshouse production methods. Vertical Future also partners with a number of UK and International academic partners, including the University of Cambridge, the University of Essex, The University of York and the University of Adelaide’s ‘Plants for Space’ programme. https://lnkd.in/eNp7H5vx

A big thank you to Professor Alex Webb for hosting our Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Jennifer Bromley, and the partners of the UK Space Agency's International Bilateral Fund phase 1 project, 'Autonomous agriculture to support space exploration,' at Churchill College, University of Cambridge, this summer! The ambitious project is developing methods for cultivating crops in space, crucial for long-distance missions, while also advancing vertical farming on Earth 🌍 Partners from the UK, Australia, and the USA, spanning academia and industry, were also treated to a visit to the Archives Centre at Churchill College. They saw the historic lab books of Rosalind Franklin, whose groundbreaking X-ray diffraction work revealed DNA's double-helix structure, and Jocelyn Bell Burnell, renowned for her discovery of radio pulsars, a significant milestone in astrophysics. #Innovation #Science #TeamBuilding #Gratitude

With COP29 Azerbaijan just two weeks away, tackling the climate impact of our food system is more urgent than ever. Agriculture accounts for over a third of global emissions, and vertical farming offers a sustainable path forward💡 Using up to 98% less water, no pesticides, and freeing land for biodiversity, vertical farming has the potential to transform food production on a global scale, including in peri-urban and rural areas. This aligns perfectly with COP29's focus on innovative solutions to combat climate change while supporting food security. While much work remains, sustainable agriculture will be a key topic at COP29, and vertical farming can play a crucial role in meeting climate goals by reducing emissions and optimising resource use. Will you be there? Be sure to visit our partner World Green Economy Organization (WGEO)'s pavilion in the Blue Zone! #COP29 #VerticalFarming #SustainableAgriculture #ClimateAction #FoodSecurity #FutureOfFarming
