    Hitting the pavements with the Virgin Family 🏃♂️ This week our signature Club Crawl event was a family affair, as we were joined by our colleagues from Virgin, Virgin Red, and Virgin Active HQ for an afternoon of real wellness. The evening kicked off with a warm welcome at our Aldersgate club, where attendees had the choice of either Reformer Pilates or a Strength & Conditioning class. After working up a sweat, the team hit the streets for a run to our Strand club, where they could choose between a calming Yoga session or an energising Cycle class. A final, high-energy run took us to Virgin’s brand-new home at Whitfield Studios, where the crew wrapped up the day with delicious food and refreshing drinks.

    Kauai has officially arrived at Northampton Riverside Park 👋 Our nationwide rollout of in-club health food cafés continues, with our second Northampton location now open. This brand-new, modern space provides our members with an area to rest, recuperate, work, or socialise—whenever it suits their busy schedules. All Kauai menu items available are made from scratch, in-store, with whole ingredients that are packed full of goodness, designed to help everyone achieve their fitness and wellness goals. Plus members can get rewarded for staying active, unlocking exclusive Kauai treats through our new rewards programme, available through our app. We’ll raise a smoothie to that.

    Virgin Active x Sweaty Betty   Yesterday we teamed up with global activewear and lifestyle brand Sweaty Betty, to host an exclusive afternoon of reform, rest and restoration at our Wimbledon club.   Attendees were treated to our signature Reformer Pilates and Yoga classes, followed by Kauai treats and a chance to shop the latest winter pieces from Sweaty Betty’s pop-up shop.    Thank you to everyone who took part - which location should we do next?

Our global roadshow brought together teams from the UK, Italy, South Africa, Australia, Singapore & Thailand, to share the vision for Virgin Active's future and how we will collectively land our Social Wellness Club proposition consistently around the world, and make wellness more credible, simple, attainable and enjoyable for our members. Here’s why…   🧠 Enhances Cognitive Function: Staying hydrated helps you stay sharp, think clearly, and respond quickly.   ⚡️ Regulates Mood and Energy Levels: Water plays a key role in regulating your energy levels and mood, keeping you productive throughout the day.   💪 Improves Physical Performance: Overall body hydration supports muscle function, performance, and recovery.   🦴 Supports Digestion and Joint Health: Water is crucial for moving nutrients throughout your body and keeping your joints lubricated.   🔍 Signs you might need more water: Be aware of thirst, headaches, fatigue, and muscle cramps—these are common indicators of dehydration.   To combat these symptoms, and to maximise your daily potential, it’s essential to drink water consistently throughout the day - particularly during increased activity, heat, or humidity.   For added support, include electrolytes like sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium in your hydration plan.     The wellness industry is unwell. In recent years, the world of wellness has exploded, promising miracle cures and instant results with everything from detox teas to extreme diets. But alongside the rise of "quick fix" solutions, concerns about the dangers of confusing wellness fads have also grown.  As part of our ongoing mission to cut through the fake noise within the industry, we surveyed over 2,000 active adults to discover the biggest wellness fads of the year—with perineum sunning (22%), wellness vaping (20%) and goat or puppy yoga (20%) taking the top bizarre spots.  Nearly half (48%) of adults responded that they’re confused about where to turn for real wellness information, and 50% see trends on social media that contradict each other. The average person has tried at least three different fads or trends in their lifetime, but 51% of those who tried one stopped because it wasn’t sustainable.  So how can people achieve and sustain REAL health and wellness? At Virgin Active, we believe through our guidance, community spirit, boutique style classes and spa & recovery facilities, members can come as they are and achieve real progress - in a healthy way that’s unique to them. We’re unapologetically sticking it to the fakes and fads with an open invitation for everyone, everywhere to do the same.
