🚶♂️🏃♀️🚴♀️ Throughout May, we participated in an exciting challenge to coincide with National Walking Month. 🌍☁️ Our 'Move 4 Earth' virtual challenge aimed for us to walk, run, cycle, or move a collective total of 6,595 miles or 16,487,500 steps, to travel through a selection of European countries known for having some of the best air quality in Europe. 🌍👟We partnered with EarthRuns | Active For Earth, to plant up to 750 trees to celebrate the milestones our staff achieved during this challenge. Not only contributing to our team's physical and mental health but also enhancing air quality and fostering environmental sustainability by planting real trees in areas that need increased biodiversity. 👏 As May came to an end, we were delighted with everyone's enthusiasm and involvement. The goal was to set a difficult yet achievable target that would encourage us all to move more while contributing positively by planting trees. 🤔 However, our marketing lead Lucy Vizor may have been a bit ambitious with the set goal... 💪 Despite the incredible participation and effort from the team, we did not reach our initial target. However, our ‘Halfway Heroes’ made it all the way to Hungary, covering over halfway through this ambitious challenge with a collective distance of 3,077.84 miles or 5,288,306 steps. The true success of this challenge lies in the enthusiasm, commitment, and teamwork we've all shown. Plus, we discovered some fantastic new walking routes during what has been a very busy May for us all! 🥳 To end on a high note we did however do some clever rerouting and took a detour, which brought us to Tbilisi, Georgia, which is the furthest city involved in our Net 4 Cities project. So, we ended on a high note! 🌍🌱Thank you to the whole team who got involved. We are very proud of all the effort and were thrilled to present the team with some plantable wildflower seed medals courtesy of EarthRuns. 📰 Read the full blog post here: https://bit.ly/3Y8kxY6 #EarthSense #NationalWalkingMonth #AirQuality #Charity #Sustainability #Trees #EarthRuns

Looking back on this year, we couldn’t be prouder of the strides we’ve made on our journey toward sustainability. One of the highlights has been our collaboration with Healthy Seas, which brought together three of the world’s top swimmers: Florian Wellbrock for the mission in Germany, Gregorio Paltrinieri for the mission in Italy, and Drew Kibler for the mission in the USA. Together, we made a meaningful impact: 🌍 3 Clean-Up Missions Across 3 Countries 🏅 3 Olympic Athletes Involved ⏱️ 5 Days of Action 🙌 20 Volunteers Engaged 🎣 348.5 Square Meters (3,751.3 ft²) of Fishing Nets Recovered, Weighing 260 kg (573.2 lbs) This is just the beginning. We are committed to continuing this journey in 2025 and beyond, as WE ARE PLANET WATER. #planetwater #HealthySeas

The world is watching… 👀 All eyes on Paris! 🏅 🌱 Only every 4 years the world’s eyes are on athletes fighting for the Olympic medals. Knowing the world is watching, there are opportunities to address important themes that goes beyond just sports.. A great example is the RunBlue campaign of ultramarathon runner Mina Guli, who took on the challenge to run the full length of the Seine river: 848 km! Why? 👉 To accelerate efforts to restore worlds rivers, including the Seine. The Olympic open-water swim event was suppose to be held in the middle in Paris in the Seine but it is still uncertain if that’s really happening. The city’s water supply warned of unsafe pollution in the river with less than a month to go before the start of the Games.. But this ambition to make the river clean isn't just about the Games, It’s a huge opportunity for a healthier ecosystem for the Seine and beyond. With only 25 days before the start of the Olympic Games Mina has 100 km left until the finish in Le Havre and we cheer her on in this important mission! #valueofwater Valuing Water Initiative , #ClimateGames #OlympicGames #wateraction #RunBlue #Seineriverrun #OlympicGames

Run your own race! Same day this week in 2 different continents celebrating Pelumi Nubi also known as Lumi and Russ Cook also known as Hardest Geezer achieved their set objectives and they got their share of spotlight and most importantly the joy of accomplishment It is particularly interesting to me because they both set out on different mission and now finishing on the same day play up the similarities in them and in their quest. Both British, same age bracket, journeyed through Africa overcame different obstacles to achieve their goals. They are now both 'shining their shine' same period for an objective they set independently. This reinforces the charge of Just Do it, you've got plans, start from somewhere, prepare for it, get on it and move. don't dwell on the things you can't control, optimize the ones you can ensuring you deliver and get value the rest is where God comes in. They both did not particularly break any record but they achieved a quest and that is why we are talking about them. Congratulations to Pelumi Nubi and Russ Cook for their feat. Lessons from both of you are - Quest is often fueled by Inspiration for Pelumi it was Kunle Adeyanju who went from London to Lagos by bike while for Russ wanted to make a difference out of his personal struggles. - Research, understand the plan and prepare: Pelumi prepared for about a year, modified her car, did necessary paper work and studied the routes. Russ planned secured necessary permits except for Algerian Visa which came very late, though caused a change of plans but it did not deter the plan. - Expect challenges: Pelumi was in an accident, Russ was kidnapped, robbed among other things Goal is achievable: though it may come with several modifications, goals are sure achievable. So get up and do it. https://lnkd.in/e4WYx-wQ https://lnkd.in/exvTDCnW #runyourrace #godfactor #achieveyourgoal #inspiration

2025 takes us to Austria and what is better than a day on Timmelsjoch (aka Passo Rombo to the Italians ) The Timmelsjoch connects the Ötztal valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol to the Passeier Valley in the Italian province of South Tyrol, as it bridges the saddle point between the Jochköpfl (3,141 metres) and Wurmkogl (3,082 metres) peaks to its northeast and southwest, respectively. The pass is sometimes called the “secret passage” because it is little-used compared to the much easier and lower Brenner Pass some 25 kilometres to its east, and Reschen Pass some 60 kilometres to its west.
