About us

The Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire, Tim Cox, is the King's representative in Warwickshire. His prime duty is to uphold the dignity of the Crown, to promote a spirit of cooperation and goodwill towards voluntary organisations, and to support community activities across the business, civic and social life of the county. The Lord-Lieutenant is supported by a Vice Lord-Lieutenant and a team of Deputy Lieutenants who together make up the Lieutenancy. Responsibilities include: - Arranging visits to the county by members of the Royal family and escorting royal visitors - Helping to identify companies that might be considered for the King's Award for Enterprise - Advising on nominations and honours - including The New Year Honours and King's Birthday Honours - Presenting medals and awards on behalf of the Sovereign, including the King's Award for Voluntary Service and the British Empire Medal - Participating in civic, voluntary and social activities within the county - Maintaining and encouraging links with the civic authorities, armed forces and emergency services - Supporting and attending Citizenship Ceremonies
